The first time I visited Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm, I was 11 years old and visiting with my Girl Scout troop. I still remember the hayride to the pumpkin patch; which has since evolved to a much longer, more leisurely hayride. Now more than 15 years later, I have enjoyed visiting the farm annually with my own children. I live for the moments of pure joy my children feel while at the farm and am so blessed to have captured many of those moments in pictures. I swear you can hear the laughter coming straight out of the pictures. Bengtson’s is so well kept and maintained; it offers plenty of fun for all ages and needs. The staff members are truly the cream of the crop! If you have not been, it is definitely a place you’ll need to add to your list BUT BEWAREyou’ll never be able to just go once. It is sure to become a family favorite and like ours, a tradition. ☺️
As a family of 5, we go to Bengtson's every year, and every year we fall more in love with it! It's so fun, not only for the kids, but the adults as well. Do everything they have to offer, it's completely worth the money! This year we went on a day that had a little rain, and it was 2 hours before closing. There was practically No one there, which is AWESOME for us because no long lines to wait in for rides!!! So much fun! So glad we have this family tradition!!! Thanks Bengtson's!
We are the ultimate Pumpkin Farm Junkies, we had gone to all the Wisconsin pumpkin farms and just wanted something different so after some google searching, we discovered Bengtson's and decided to try it out! After driving 2 hrs, we loved every second! The drive from WI was great too different scenery! My kids (5&10) both enjoyed it! Worth every penny- pictures are simply amazing with the background and such a great family friendly environment! Tons to do: animated characters, races, hay ride, corn pit rides, etc!
Food prices are very reasonable for a family budget! Rides are unlimited, with your entry ticket! We are def going to make this trip again! I 100% recommend this farm, if you haven't gone- don't miss out, you wont regret it!
(p.s. they have the cleanest potter johns I've ever seen- always a plus in my book! 😆)
This place is awesome! I was here for like 3 hours and wasn't bored at all. There's so much to do here it was like six flags all over again! I would definitely come again. Everything is free except the food and drinks of course and that only $2-$5. They also had tacos pizza and BBQ. Not sure how much that was because we had ate earlier but it's nice to have a bunch of options. It was my first time and I had a blast. Also I'm 24 and brought my 2 friends, there was no kids with us and we still had a fun time.
Apple cider. Crisp red leaves. Cozy sweaters. Bengtson's Pumpkin Farm. Must-haves for a perfect fall in Illinois. I've been coming to Bengtson's since I was of a single-digit age and I'm always amazed at how much is still around from those days gone by. Walking through the gates is like stepping into a perfectly preserved childhood memory. From the scent of caramel corn to the cackling witch on her broomstick and bright orange pumpkins everywhere you turn, this place fills your senses with all things October. Bring your kids to Bengtson's so they can create fall memories they can revisit every year. 🎃
My family and I we can't wait every year for this fun and awesome family tradition!!! It's always fun for the whole family my 9 year old loves the corn pool and my 2 year old loves to feed the animals! We have been going for more than 4 years and this year we went on opening weekend we had to try the new ride barnyard dance and we all loved it! Specially that it light up when it got darker. Let's not forget the free photo the camera guy that day was very nice, we were able to load our picture through Facebook or get it by text which is very nice. There are a lot more things like mechanical rides for the family, pig races, pony rides, the bag of emeralds that my daughter loves to get every time we go and other fun stuff. All the pictures we will have to look back and all the fun memories we have together as a family in a nice and family oriented place is priceless!!!
I took my girls here on opening day of this year, my daughter's had such a blast! It wasn't busy and we got to go on the rides many times and the employees were so friendly and because it wasn't so busy of lines they let the children stay on the ride to go on again! Very kind! The new cow ride omg it was a blast, I even loved it and I'm 30 :-) we went on that many times. The corn pit is so nice! I loved the lights inside, and the fact they had stairs to go inside of it, so much safer in my opinion. I love also, how you can sit on the edge if you want with your feet in the corn pit as you watch the kids. The food and drinks are at a good reasonable price! Medium size drink was like 2.50 that's a good price I'm my opinion. Their are many many things you can so their. For sure an all day thing! I'm totally taking them back again soon. Also it was nice having two train rides Now, especially when usually the train one is always long. So yeah I am so happy and excited for new things they did! So much fun!!!! 💛💛💛
I am completely in love with Bengston's Pumpkin Farm. I go there with my friends/family at least once a year but sometimes 2 or 3 times a year. It has a great variety of activities and food options for anyone! I think the barbecue food there is awesome, last year I got the pulled pork Mac and cheese and it was so amazing! Love the animal area where you can feed a bunch of different animals! Seriously an amazing place to have a nice fall day with the family! I spend almost the whole day there since there is so much to keep you occupied! Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great family tradition :)
Best Pumpkin farm around. Even if it is a rainy day the farm is a fun place to be. So many fun rides, lovely petting zoo, so many cute attractions. This farm is kept up and it is so clean. Even when it is crowded you can still do so many things and there is plenty of room to sit and have a good snack with your group. Music plays and the witch cackles, the train bell rings, just puts you in the fall mood. Make sure you bring a camera, as there are so many photo opportunities. This is just a fun family event.
Most adorable place. Yes I said adorable. It's friendly and welcoming. My visit was with my daughters kindergarten class during October.
Nothing frightening. Maybe because it was during the day. Instead it was focus in the fall theme. With tons of pumpkins, hay stacks, scarecrows, live farm, maze, a small hunted house and hay rides (rides without the hay) apparently incase some people are allergic to hay. So it's just used as decor onsight but not near public. Thoughtful. Oh yes! And pig races. That was funny.
Also a couple picnic areas. So bring your light lunch. But no public restrooms just porta potty. Thank goodness they were clean.
This is the best pumpkin patch around. I've been to many pumpkin patches through the my life time and this is Definitely number 1. Every year they have something new and the prices are great. I grew up coming hear and now I gringo my 2 year old and she loves every bit of it. I recommend this to anyone and everyone.
The kids love this farm. It has pig races, and rides and a hayride, too. Children's zoo was great. The pumpkins were small to huge. We brought home a 14lb perfect shaped pumpkin. The food is very expensive though. The donuts were $10/6, way too high! The funnel cake was rubbery, and not worth tossing $5 because you will toss in trash. They offer free pics in a cute barn, but you put in your email and they never send it! We went as a group and not one of us got our picture!! Eat before you go, and bring your own drinks. The kettle corn used to be cooked fresh, now it's pre-cooked and so stale. Save your cash! Beware, admission is high too. Use coupons.
It's a great pumpkin farm. Lots of activities for little ones, not so much for adults. There are rides for the kids, a petting zoo, the pig races (fun even for adults in my opinion), a pumpkin cannon, a small haunted house (again aimed more toward the little ones), a gift shop, lots of delicious junk food (they have rotating food trucks; last time I went there was Uncle Bub's BBQ, a pizza one, and a Mexican one - the food from the Mexican truck was delicious, if a bit overpricedtypical for these places though), and a large pumpkin and gourd selection. They're famous for their apple cider donuts, which are pretty much to die for. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that last time I went, an hour before closing they were completely sold out of apple cider donuts, which were essentially the reason my friend and I had gone there. I feel they should at least tell people that if you want apple cider donuts, make sure you buy them as soon as you get there, or before a certain time, etc.
You got to love this place!! the first farm I ever been too. It still has been the only one. Is the only place where the whole family can come and have an amazing time!! This is a really friendly pumpkin farm. I visited for the first time 2 years ago when my daughter was 1! It was such an amazing experience taking the little ones to see the farm animals, play in the corn maze, the hay by ride!! I will be back this year with my little one again!! I really recommend it!! Such a beautiful place with so many pumpkins to choose from for the entire family. They have a huge parking lot so their is never a parking problem for us!! Can't wait for opening week!! And I can't wait to take lots of pictures!! I love this place!!!🎃💛
