My girlfriend and I went this evening for dinner around 8 and the place wasn't packed which was really nice. Beautiful building inside and out. We were served by a woman named Lindsay and she was by far the best server we ever had. Their goat cheese raviolis were a perfect balance of cheese and sweet potato and the leeks where cooked beautifully. Our entrees were just as good and seasoned very well.

    Belvedere Inn – Lancaster, Pennsylvania – 10/4/2017

If you are looking for an old world charming restaurant, this place is for you! Set in The John S. Rohrer Mansion, the Belvedere Inn opened in 1998. This Victorian Italianate Style mansion was built in 1869. John was a Tobacco dealer from Strasburg and would use the house to entertain out of town guests.

There are several dining rooms including an upstairs outdoor patio. Beautiful dark wood thruout, white Linen Service, large framed mirrors, Chandeliers and ornate lighting make up the interior. Definitely my kind of place!

They serve you a slightly warm roll with soft whipped butter that’s absolutely delicious. There’s an unwritten rule that if the bread is good, the cuisine is good…

The greens… Signature Grilled Caesar Salad… Char-grilled Romaine, Caesar Dressing, Parmesan Cheese, Croutons… I ordered the petite as I didn’t want to fill up before the main course. Loved the Croutons!

Next Course, a cup of Lobster Bisque… Cream, Lobster and Brandy. Another great dish with the consistency of a creamy broth. Not the usual thick Bisque served elsewhere. With an amazing flavour and nice chunks of fresh Lobster meat… I’m from New England and I’m telling you this soup was great!

For the main this evening, the Grilled Filet Mignon… 8 Oz Beef Tenderloin, Root Vegetable Asiago Potato Gratin, Asparagus, Au Poivre Sauce… The Filet could not be cooked any more perfect. And as far as the Gratin…, Carrot and Potato the likes of which I’ve never seen! How they do the potatoes perfectly while keeping the Carrots crunchy I’ll never know. And then there’s the Asparagus… Wow!

It took every ounce of willpower to not order dessert with all of the offerings on the menu but given the number of meals I have out, I have to exercise some restraint. I did however finish with my signature Cappuccino…

This is a Dining Adventure I’ll not soon forget. And remember…, when you come here, tell ‘em Paul sent you… It bears repeating…, Wow!

I've had excellent lunches and dinners here, but the real treat is their $1 Kobe beef sliders in Monday's. Stop by for lunch on Monday and meet interesting people and enjoy a slider that will change your life.

I only have 3 star simply because I feel like this place is talked about with such high esteem and made out to be a place to get great amazing tasting food. The place looks and feels great. But the food was simply good. I just expected a lot more as far as flavor. Like A LOT more. I can get "good" food at a lot of places for a lot cheaper. And I don't mind playing for great food.

Enjoyed a late night meal with my SO. We had soup of the day. Roasted carrot cream with feta cheese and caramelized onions, absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque was really good too! Had belvie bread, roasted 🌞 dried tomatoes with cheese super delicious. Overall, food and atmosphere great. Thought peach sidecar was overpriced and not good at all, if not would of given better rating!

The belvedere inn is a classy modern restaurant from there bi weekly caberet to both of the bars (upstairs andf down stairs bar) they make a heck of a martini. the menu is a little classic but still very fresh and exciting chef Corinna Killian does very well even though I have sent back a filet mignon for being slightly over cooked it came back perfect. Presentation is ok but somewhat dull it could use more color lots of Brown's and dark colors maybe bring in a nice sweet and colorful ceviche. Or a fresh ice cold salad instead of a char grilled signature salad, salad is typically served ice cold with an ice cold fork not grilled hot and wilted doused in Cesar dressing to hide the taste of char. All and all the belvedere is is a fine 3.5 star out of 5 food quality, presentation and creativity priced reasonably fair. If you are lookiing for a good classy romantic dinner in lancaster city then stop by and have a bite.

The Belvedere does not dissappoint. The food is excellent and the service is great. That is why it's one of my favorite places to dine in Lancaster.

I loved this place. For being an upscale dining establishment in the city I thought it was very reasonably priced. The deck was a great place to eat and had a great city view. The food and service was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a great date night.
