We stayed for a weekend. It's right on the beach, which is nice, however there aren't beach views from the rooms. The manager here is strict and not very friendly. We had a group of about 20 people staying for the weekend, and on our first day we all hung out by the pool for a couple hours during the afternoon. The manager came out and began screaming at us to be quiet - really screaming - even though we were not being loud at all, and it was 5pm on a Friday. I'm not exaggerating when I say we weren't being loud, and the manager was really angry and yelling at us to be quiet. We all kind of stood there shocked that the manager was being so unfriendly when we had done nothing wrong, it was 5pm on Friday so even if we were kind of loud (which we weren't) it shouldn't have mattered since we were just trying to relax and have a good time by the pool, and we had a large group of people spending a considerable amount of money to stay there. In addition, there was hardly anyone else staying there besides our group, so we weren't bothering anyone. The hotel and rooms are old and outdated. Our room had an old TV from the 90s. I was woken up in the middle of the night when a lizard crawled on my arm. Also, there is very limited parking. Even though many of us carpooled, and the hotel was far from being fully booked, the parking lot was at capacity and people were afraid to go anywhere and risk losing their parking spot. We left one morning to get breakfast and when we returned 15 minutes later we had to sit in the car and wait for 20 minutes for another parking space to open up. I would not consider this a resort, as they don't serve continental breakfast or anything like that. Our group will not be staying there again.

Staff was wonderful. Welcomed to the property by their doorman, a white heron. Rooms very clean. Right on the beach, great view. All together great place especially for families.

The best thing about this hotel is the beach out your front door. It's out of the hustle of the other beaches. The rooms need upgrading. Would be a cute mid mod with updates. We stayed 2 nights in a regular room. No coffee or chair in room. When I asked about coffee in main office it does not open till 10am!! Definatly need to open office earlier or put a coffee pot in room. The owner and Mary were friendly. Don't expect much but a nice beach. (July2017)

Place was cool to begin with, but coming back from bar with not being on property for 8 hours, get back and the owner is threatening to call he cops. We weren't even at the property. Don't stay here, owner is spiteful for some reason. Sat at a table for less than five minutes, sober as can be, an he pointed right at me and threatened to call SWAT because I was too loud, but I never said a word. Do NOT stay here

Great staff and service. However the facilities are old. In some areas it shows. The view and access to the beach are great and definitely a plus.

Beautiful! This hotel is literally right on the beach, nestled in between very big costly houses, and has amazing views. The staff is very friendly and even though the this is an older hotel everything is maintained very well. Cost was higher the weekend we came, but it's usually decently price for the location. The room we stayed in had an older tv so we could only watch the cable, but we rarely stayed in the room because there was so much to do around the area. There was no breakfast, but there are amazing places not far from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again as a first choice.

We had an amazing week. The owners were very welcoming. We were right on the beach and the view of the sunsets were perfect. This will be our first place to check for a room when visiting the Clearwater area.

It's an older motel, located right on the water, at a reasonable rate. Close to shopping and eateries. Parking is tight and could be a problem if you come and go, getting parked again during peak season. We left car parked and used Uber. Bed and pillows were new and comfy, clean and air was cold. All worked. Had all we needed, served its purpose. Not a place for white glove snobbery. It's a well used motel kept clean enough for real people, cheaper than most, AND on the water away from high rise mobs. Would stay again as first choice.
