The bedroom was supposed to be smoke free, but the smell of smoke was so terrible that even my pyjamas were smelling after just one night. The bathtub was full of someone's hair I tried to change rooms but there wasn't any room available. The owners are nice, but my experience was just terrible and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Clean room. Great access to the beach and peir. Nice ocean view from our room. Good price. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

This was the cheapest price I can find near the boardwalk I could actually see the ocean from my room it wasn't a real big view but it was there the location is excellent It's kind of on a hill and the parking is a little tight but the price was right everything else was 150 I got this one for 79 they have cereal and toast for breakfast. The bed was decent and the water pressure was good.

Simple and really has a view of the beach out the door. The front counter lady is very friendly. Breakfast that is included is super simple too, just bananas, coffee, cereal, and a kind of prepackaged bread with jam on it.

Simple but modern accommodations. Lots of plugs and USB chargers. Clean. Quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Seemed well run. Good heater and air-conditioning. Refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms. Nice flat screen TVs. WiFi was a little slow at peak times but -- it was there. Very close to beach and wharf. Free parking. Inexpensive. Jake's Coffee Bar right at the end of the driveway was a plus. 3 minute walk to Ideal Fish Company one of Santa Cruz's best restaurants (and open later than others) and sports bars. I'd stay there again. No "frills" -- but you might ask yourself if you really need them. We found we didn't.

The hotel was located in a prime spot. Half a block from the board walk and a few blocks from downtown. Location is key. The room was cleanly. The owner staff was polite. The continental breakfast was no good though. So I would skip that. All and all the in was good for the night.

This is right up the street from the pier and ocean, wonderful spot if you want to be close to the beach and the price wasn't the worst. The room was small, clean and comfortable. The bed was firm but not uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, however the breakfast provided was cereal and store packaged bear claws. Overall was a good experience for the price and location.

Rooms were adequate. It looks like they have put new carpet down and replaced the furniture recently. The bathrooms are in dire need of an update. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking is on site and free which is pretty great nice given the proximity to the beach a half a block away. There is a great little coffee place right next door. All and all it would not be my first choice give the cost and shortcomings, but would certainly stay there again if necessary.

The front desk people are friendly and very helpful! This place is very quaint but it does the job. Very cozy place and it is a few minutes away from the beach and a little drive to the boardwalk. Great place!

Cute place! Quiet and clean. This room had an additional fold out bed, a mini fridge, microwave, and a hair dryer! :D definitely a go to spot for a quick getaway. :)

The people here are so kind, generous and funny! I have now had 2 experiences with them when I needed last minute help. No other establishments were able, or even willing to try. As a 3rd generation Santa Cruz native, I often book or refer hotels to friends and family. After a terrible experience at another local hotel (Oceana Inn), I've been searching for a new go-to spot. This is the one! Can't wait to see them again!
