Completely wonderful, the staff are amazing. Chocolate chip cookies in the room every morning. I wish we could live here. Need I say more.

We decided last minute to go here. I reserved on line without a problem. They called before check in to confirm out arrival. Checking was a breeze, the person that checked us in was very helpful and accommodating. The view in our room was spectacular, and sunset was most enjoyable. The room was comfortable, and in the morning, we had the best breakfast casserole ever. This is a pretty special place and we hope to one day return.

Beautiful views accompanied by a friendly professional staff make this spot an amazing getaway. The location is convenient for travel to Monterey or Santa Cruz while still being removed enough for a relaxing and peaceful stay.

Cozy, chic and off the beaten path. The Captain's.s Inn draws you in straight away with the nautical theme on display in the front garden. And from there it only gets better. With views overlooking the Salinas River and the sea, you might find an otter playing in the river regulalry. Breakfast is served with a range of healthy options and if you're up early for whale watching they'll even make something special for you as well.

Our welcome was warm and friendly and the staff is very helpful. Our room had nice big windows with an interesting view of an inlet from the ocean with occasional seabirds and a state beach that blocks the view of the ocean itself.
The room was designed for the view and not for convenience. Certainly no worse than other B&Bs and better than most. Breakfast not so much. On the first morning they served a small piece of soggy, lukewarm frittata. I was embarrassed to ask for more and they didn't offer. On the second morning, a somewhat more substantial portion of breakfast casserole, which was excellent.
It's a good place, but we're not in a rush to go back.response / report this review -

Wonderful..absolutely wonderful. So peaceful. Delicious cookies, wonderful staff members, tasty breakfast. We WILL return when my schedule permits. We walked the beach, walked to and from dinner, explored the area, enjoyed the sunshine. Loved having access to a place to stash our leftovers (akatonight's dinner!) Instead of having to throw things out. I loved laying in my tub looking out the windows at the birds. The bed was so comfortable. (I wish I was still in it..I don't nap, and I actually took a nap!!) Next time, I'm making sure that I also have time to work in a massage and maybe a trip to a couple of more restaurants..I might need to stay several nights!

My wife and I just spent three nights here. June 10th-13th. We enjoyed it greatly. Breakfast was very nice. Our room was small but we didn't hang out there. The shower was one of the best we ever had. I highly recommend this place. The beach is about a 10 min walk.
