Worse stay of my life. Dirty sheets, noisy people hanging out in the hallways and outside. I had to ask to be moved. Also elevator floor was covered in blood and when I asked the front desk guy he said he's going to leave it until the morning staff can clean it. It was a puddle of blood and all over the walls. The blood trail continued down the carpet into one of the rooms. Please don't stay here. Sleep in your car, it would be better than staying here.
We travel throughout the state often and always looking for nice places based on online prices and pics, Well i must say this place was a total dissapointment in every way possible and ill start by checking in at 8pm on a friday night, there were people (employees it seems) sitting on the little bench under the car port where u check in smoking and hanging like this is a local hang out, upon entering the lobby theres a smell of not so good at all,the lobby area had obviously looks of minor remodeling ie.baseboard ,after check in and heading to our room it became more obvious that the place was is no rush in whatever it was doing to remodel, rooms were ok and sleepable, went to get ice down the stairwell 1st floor and was literally knocked out by the smell and filth on the second floor and saw signs that read pls no trash or cigarett butts in stair well, i can go on and on but i will end it with the riff raff and drug activity we noticed both inside and outside that was very unconfortable to tje point we decided to stay in our room. This may all sound like a bashing for a disgrunteld guest but i can assure u we didnt say a word to the feont desk or employees, to those who want to save a buck or two i highly recomend looking else where and splurge.
Also be prepared for late night doors slaming and people arguing (drugs im sure) def not a plcace for kids.
Do not stay here! Was booked for 13 nights. They never changed the sheets once. Also had to switch rooms because I awoke with a multitude of bug bites. They were claiming it was fleas. When I brought the bugs to their attention they weren't sure if they could move me to another room. And was told that they weren't authorized to refund or discount. They seemed more bothered by my request to move rooms than they were about the bugs in my room. The hotel was dirty. Breakfast was muffins and cereal. Awoke to a cockroach trying to get into a cookie container I had left on the table.
Shower curtains were covered in stains. As were the towels.
My employee stayed across the hall and he had ants.
Hotel was noisy at all hours of the night/morning.
I travel on average 100 nights a year and this by far was the worst!
Interesting place. Nice carpet in room. Bathroom is in bad shape with mold and paint peeling. Toilet also leaking. Ice machine not working on second floor. Conference room out of order. Folded wash cloth had a brown stain .EEEK. Not impressed.
Room and bathroom were clean, which are the most important things for me. King size bed was just ok, but pillows were very comfy. Small desk /chair well placed. Wifi was strong. AC worked very well. Good hot breakfast options. Quick check in and check out. Friendly staff. Downside was the elevator was musty and the hallway smelled very bad. Some remodeling going on, so hopefully it will improve overall. Considering a last minute reservation, it worked out and I got a good night's rest.
Beautiful place! Rooms are fantasticvery clean. Outside surroundings clean. Very quiet. Beds in very comfortable.
I highly recommend this motel.
Room was clean and nice. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Pool was almost too warm. We enjoyed our visit. Would stay again.
This place is a DUMP. Guy at front desk waa rude and abrasive. Price for room was over the top ridiculous. Could not get a good nights rest. Also there were bugs in the room. One jumped on me. Which freaked me out. Breakfast was trash. God forbid they provide flavored creamer. Cant even offer the guests a decent cup of coffee after keeping you up all night. Do yourself a favor and keep driving.
The entire building has a moisture problem. I'm not sure if is because of poor construction, recent storm damage, lack of upkeep, or normal deterioration. At any rate, our first room smelled like a litter box that was in desperate need of changing. It was bad enough that my husband, with an awful sense of smell, noticed it and I had to politely ask for another room. I'm the type to just make the best of a bad situation, but there was no way to air the room out as the window would not open. The pictures are deceiving. I suspect that they were taken when it first opened up. The first room had mildew in the heating/AC unit also. I'm not sure if the owner checked us in or not but he quickly gave us another room on the main floor. I think he went to check out the previous room as we were heading to our new room. When we arrived at the 2nd room, the door wasn't shut completely which made me leery. When we entered my son discovered that the door needed to be gently forced to close. The doors in the room (bathroom and entrance) were swollen from the moisture or hung improperly because neither of them closed properly. The bathroom was small and improperly ventilated because there was mildew that had been painted over along the shower walls. When I tried to shut the bathroom door a piece of the door jamb that had been poorly repaired fell off on the floor. The paint was peeling from around the shower walls and every piece of metal in there was corroded (toilet paper dispenser, nuts, toilet handle, shower rod, shower faucet). The shower rod was partially covered with a plastic coating that had been chipped away from the pole. The sheets barely fit the mattress in which the trim had come unattached. I only know this because I check mattresses for bed bugs (there were none). The beds were comfortable enough. We just wanted a place to rest for one night. My son did try to use the fitness center to which he found the treadmill didn't work and probably hadn't for some time because the buttons were smashed from other guests trying to get it to work. He was able to use the free weights and then went outside to jog around the Cracker Barrel parking lot. That is a plus for this hotel. Cracker Barrel is just a walk across the parking lot (or a jog afterwards). The door that lead to the parking lot didn't close securely because of the same issues we had with our room doors. Apparently secure doors are on the fixer-upper list also. The pictures online are frightfully deceiving. When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the multitude of tarps covering the roof. My son said the windows on the third floor in the back were covered up as if they were being repaired. If I can say anything good about the place is that everyone seemed pleased with the free continental breakfast the next morning, and the front desk clerk that checked us out was incredibly friendly. I wouldn't recommend it if you could find somewhere else. Especially if you are sensitive to poor air quality and allergens. I hope they are able to repair this hotel. It would be a lovely little place.
You can tell this place is old and needs a renovation. The staff were nice enough, the maid even left us a cute note, so I can appreciate the service. But there was mold on the shower curtain, our a.c. didn't work right and there was a weird humid/wet feeling in the room (hence the mold). The "secure" side door was broken so just anyone could walk in. It looks old and outdated, needs a lot of work. I expect more for the price ($170/a night!!)
Staff is amazingly helpful. Great amount of pillows and good room layout. Located next to cracker barrel it's prefect for one night or a week. I will be back.
Requested non-smoking room due to asthma. We were placed on a floor that had half smoking and half non-smoking rooms! When you stepped off the elevator, you were hit with smoke! They did switch our room to another floor, but it was frustrating. They don't use comforters and we had to request a blanket! The beds were a little too hard for comfort.
I'm here now and this is the worst hotel ever! We requested a roll out bed and got an air mattress not fully inflated. Then we had no comforter only 2 sheets. I requested a comforter and received two foot pad blankets. Asked for an extra pillow and was told they have none. Manager was very rude! I recommend never staying here. This was my first big family vacation and this stay has been more than upsetting to say the least. I will be contacting corporate in the morning!
