WORST place ever. Room had mold and was not very clean. Smelled horrible. Employee was kind of nice but Owner was extremely rude when we asked to get another room. Room obviously had horrible mold problem and smelled moldy as hell. Yet owner dismissed it as our problem and not a problem with the room. One of us had to sleep in the car and the other was not able to sleep almost at all. Just the worst experience ever. Bad motel. Bad owner. Bad ethics. Zero value. Strongly recommend against staying in it!!

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Stayed in room 29 Oct 26th-29th. First arrived it was 3:30 am since we were driving from NC. Next morning we went to check the area out, there was a fish head along with a newspaper in the swimming pool that was there for two days before it was taken out and the pool was still dirty. Bathroom had cracks everywhere along with a very dirty toilet paper holder. Towels that were left in the bathroom for use had a yellow tent to them. Bedding sheets had stains on both bed sets. Mattress were hard as bricks and very uncomfortable. Apparently this is a business that is staying opened collecting money as long as they can before health department closes them down or they just run out of business.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This motel has a no refund policy, because they know most people will ask for one. We drove six hours from Georgia to Daytona, and booked this motel in advance on a third party website for about $60 a night. For the price, I knew it wasn't going to he the Ritz. We got there and immediately did all the checks. Check for bed bugs, check for roaches, etc. We found that the sheets were very clean, but that the rest of the room was a disaster. Burn marks on the walls, mold in the fridge, the works. Better yet, when my spouse opened the first drawer in the room, there were three roaches in there. If anyone is familiar with roaches, you know that they leave little black spots everywhere when they defecate. And there were no smoke detectors anywhere, which was illegal in Daytona. I paid for three nights, and I stayed one. We got up super early to try and find another hotel, and I asked for a refund. The lady at the front desk told me I had to call the third party website. I called and they needed approval for the refund from the motel. At first they said they couldn't do a refund. I told the manager it was only $120 for the two remaining nights, and that it shouldn't be a problem for them. The manager berated me for well over an hour. I was very calm with him, as I don't like to cause a scene or escalate things. But he was extremely rude to me, especially after he saw my veteran license plate. They eventually said they'd give me a one night refund, after an hour of arguing and me calling the fire Marshall. After another thirty minutes or so, and after sharing pictures of the roaches with the manager, he gave up and said "Give the Mother F**ker his refund." All in all, I was extremely upset with this establishment. I just wanted $120 back, and I was verbally abused. I tried to make amends with the manager (something I didn't owe him at all), and he said "Get the F**k off my property." Don't waste your time, or your money. We found an extremely nice hotel for only $5 more a night right down the road.

Visited during the off season, customer service is is very good. The front desk personnel who are the owners are very sweet. It's a older motel could use a update and a few repairs but I'm over all happy with my stay and have no complaints.
Price was fair, pool was warm and the beach is beautiful.

I'm gonna give this place 2 stars since the bed was very clean and it had a decent shower. The staff is very sweet, but the place is just old. Our room smelled horrible, like mildew. The floor felt damp. To be fair, this could be due to the hurricane. We booked this at the last minute, and got there at 3 in the morning. We were so tired, so we stayed.

I love this place. Great ocean view from the room. Nice beachside heated pool. Friendly helpful staff, clean well kept rooms and very reasonable price. I will definitely stay here every time I'm in Daytona Beach.

If I could give a no star review, I would. You are better off sleeping in your car. The facility is poorly maintained, the rooms are not clean, and there is evidence of bugs. I surveyed my room, didn't stay, but was charged for the night anyway. Online the pictures looked good but viewing firsthand showed otherwise.

It was very quaint. Clean and easy beach access.the parking was kinda of tight . the staff was super friendly and helpful. We would stay again. Only down side was a few of the other visitors. Had really loud mufflers. So that isnt really something that is the motels fault. .also some of the pool.lounge. chairs were broken and Could use some tlc.

The only thing good about this place is that it is close to the beach. Rooms had roaches in every drawer i opened. Bathroom was moldy. Air intake was exposed and obvioudly lacking maintenance. Comforters were old and ripped and had stains - put those to the side immediately. Sheets were at least decent but found a dead roach on one. TV kept going in and out of service. Floor was moist and gross. Extra charge for the kids. Pool and deck looks nice in photo but its not. dead bugs in pool looks like it was lackong weekly maintenance and ripped chairs.

The Grand Prix Motel has easy beach access being on the beach side, a nice saltwater heated pool, and a great affordable price but the rooms were the worst. First, the carpets seemed moist and musty. One of the comforters had a rip right in the middle. The bathroom towels had strands of hair on them and were dirty before we used them. In one rooms the toliet would run nonstop and it seemed it was about to overflow. The worst part was that on the corner of one of the beds and on the floor it smelled like human pee. The rooms definitely could use an updating and cleansing. But other than that the stay was nice.
