Worked here for 11 month's as a housekeeper. I was told I'd get a week's payed vacation after exactly 1 year. Well the previous owners Roger Johansen & Tommy vase( son) sold the hotel after my husband & I did alot for them.lost alot renting from owner's & got kicked out after they said they sold the house. Gave us 1 week to move out illegally. This hotel overall is a cute place..I do know for a fact that it was always clean when I worked there! Gena the head housekeeper should have been treated way better by the owner's after doing personal laundry they should have done on there own..hope the new owner from new York makes things better. Haven't seen it yet. Good luck. That place has potential

On the whole it's a lovely motel.
It needs to go SMOKE FREE because of morons smoking in the stairwell, around the pool and on their balcony which might as well be on your own.response / report this review -

The room was clean and smoke free. The views nd beach access were phenomenal. Service was excellent. There was a lingering sewage smell you n the parking lot the day we left. Also amenities weren't clear at check-in. All in all my family had a great relaxing time. My mom especially enjoyed the kitchenette for our travel food.

Fantastic hotel on the beach. The pool is nice. The rooms are super clean; not even a hint of that musty smell common to beach side hotels. The king bed was phenomenal. I'm buying this mattress when it's time for a new one.

Very clean equivalent to plaza and spa down the road. (Stayed their last year) room safe, mini kitchen, table, all very nice. Upkeep inside and out excellent. Has nice pool and outside furniture. Plus they have a outside grill to use. Management and staff very good.

When we checked into the Motel the front desk clerk told me that the elevator was broken and wouldn't be fixed until the next day, which it wasn't and by the way our rooms were located on the 4th floor. We reserved 3 rooms. The refrigerator/freezer in our room didn't work. So all of the food that we put in the fridge the first night had to be thrown away on the second day. We told the lady at the front desk about the fridge and her response was "can't you just use the fridge in one of the other rooms?" So that's what we did and in the midst of going back and forth from room to room putting food in a fridge that works the key cards stop working. Back to the front desk again down 4 flights of stairs because the elevator was broke. We told the clerk that the key cards were no longer working and she asked "are you rubbing them together or storing them next to your cellphones???" After getting card that worked we walked back up 4 flights of stairs to our room to move food and drinks to a fridge that worked. They called the maintenance man out to look at our fridge and all he did was complain about being called in on his day off. There was stagnant water in between rooms do to the rain. That water was being tracked from room to room due to the extra traffic to a working fridge. On day 2 the elevator door was open but the it wasn't fixed. Open door on a broken elevator equals a safety hazard. One of the smoke alarms decides to go off at 2 am for no reason and there were roaches in one of the rooms. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in this motel. We stayed in this motel for 3 days running from room to room through stagnant and up and down 4 flights of stairs the whole time.

I didn't want to leave.landed a super great rate, ocean view, king bedroom with free wi-fi, a stocked kitchen, couch, desk and plenty of space. I still don't know how I landed the rate when other places ON the beach were charging double this memorial day weekend. Room was clean, bed was cozy. I cannot complain one bit, thank you, thank you, thank you & see you all soon

Visited the Cove Motel many times over the past few years, and I have to say, it's a great little motel with a great pool area. Also, it's right on the beach can't beat that. Plus the staff are amazing!

Our room is clean, bright and comfortable. We are on the 1st floor with an ocean view. The room is close to the pool; however, the view is more parking lot than ocean. The Cove is GREAT for families, but request 2nd floor or higher if you want the view. The pool area is beautiful, with great dishware and grills. I'd love to come back for a week.

Me and my best friend stayed a night at the Cove Motel to celebrate my birthday on the beach. I loved it, it was more than I expected. It had an ocean front view, came as a mini suite that had a kitchen with a refrigerator. The staff was really nice as well, I lost my room key and they gave me another one with no hesitation . The only downside was that the beds were a little too firm for my liking and that the bathroom was small but other than that it was perfect. I would definitely stay again
