This place was amazing. Spent five days on our honeymoon, never even saw the pool! Spent our time watching sunsets, using the kayaks, and enjoying the view.

Beautiful and charming place to get away from it all. Staff is very friendly and the sunsets are amazing. This is the second visit this year and is the only place we have stayed for the last 4 years.

Beautiful property however the staff was not welcoming or accommodating what so ever. We had 10 rooms rented for our wedding party and unfortunately we all had a similar experience. Next time we will stay elsewhere.

Tonya, Eric, Caitlin, Natalie and housekeeping staff. Thank you for accommodating my family at your beautiful hotel. It has been a great pleasure to meet everyone and stay during a difficult time. I absolutely love this hotel and will be returning for a future vacation. For anyone looking to stay here this is a clean and kid friendly hotel. I don't have the perfect word to describe this perfect paradise. I just want to mention that everyone has gone above and beyond and I am so grateful. We love you and thank you!

Our room was small but comfortable. We had a beautiful room and was very relaxing. We booked this because we wanted to go Kayaking and paddle boarding throughout our stay and not just sit around in chairs or spend a ton of money.
The first day of our stay we weren't allowed to use the kayaks or paddle boards because of a small craft advisory. However, each hotel on either side of us were allowing their guests to go out on them all day long. When asking our staff about this they were short, rude, and made excuses about how those were privately owned kayaks, not from hotels (our family staying at those locations proved otherwise).
Next day of our stay they allowed the use of these things but there was a huge bottleneck of guests attempting to sign up for these things. We were there at 8 am first thing and were told that someone already checked out the paddle boards (no offer of a waitlist). After waiting 45 mins and the boards were returned we went to get the paddle boards and were informed that there was a waitlist. The man at the front desk was unsympathetic, again didn't offer the waitlist, and was short and unfriendly.
If you came to Key Largo expecting to kayak and paddle board, don't wait around all morning to use the complementary ones at this hotel, go pay the money and do it somewhere else. We'll be staying at the Rock Reef or SeaFarer next time just to be able to do these things.response / report this review -

While our room was not ready when we arrived, the staff was quick to upgrade us and the room was delightful. Quaint is the perfect word to describe the area. Nice views of the sunset. Most relaxing vacation I've ever had.

Grounds are fairly nice, rooms are decent and that's about the only positives about this resort. Peg, owner is completely unprofessional. Every day of our stay we heard her in some sort of confrontation of complaining to guests of the resort, as well as scolding staff in front of guests. In addition, construction was running throughout the stay which made it uninviting to stay on property during the week we were there, so we left everyday and drive to another beachfront. We heard other guests complaining of the same nuisance, and we were not made aware of the construction at booking--as is usually done when hotels and resorts are under construction. Will not return. There are many other resorts in the area, spend your money there.

Very convenient and clean site. The pier and back of the property is an awesome place to chill and watch the sunset. The personnel is extremely friendly and the place is very clean. Parking is easy, but limited. The entry might be difficult to find, but it makes it more secluded. You cannot hear any road noise from the rooms.
