Long-standing bookstore on the West Side; they're trying to stay relevant in the age of digital media, with additional merchandise like collectable toys and manga. Family likes it. Hope B&N keeps it open a few more years.

They normally have what I'm looking for and the employees have always been friendly to me. There is a large variety of subjects from Manga, children's books, fiction, and non fiction. I also liked how there's a Starbucks right next door.

It used to be awesome with sales! It's not anymore. I don't know what happened. I used to buy the last chance books and they were really cheap. Last time I picked up a few from there and it turned out to be the regular price . Then yesterday I tried to buy books from a stall that said buy two for $10 individually priced $7.98. Casher charged me 7 98 for each of the books then I asked about the sale he said it must have been a wrong sign. That's false advertisement! That's scam! If you want good deals try Amazon!

They have a great amount of books from every genre. Staff is very helpful and kind. If your having trouble looking for a specific book, you just ask them what your looking for and they know exactly where to take you to find the exact book that your describing.

The Employee's and Store Manager said hi as soon as I walked in. Then the. Manager asked if I was looking for something specific. (I was) She looked for my item but I'm the one who found it. She then proceeded to tell me about her favorite books and that my item was 20 % off. Some people would find that kind of friendlness suffocating, I didn't. I had all morning available at the time. I stopped going to bookstores about 9 years ago. It was nice to see that they are still friendly.

I set my bag and jacket down on the ground while i browsed through their manga section. Anything i found interesting, i set in a pile next to my bag. I put my jacket over my bag a couple times and subsequetly the book pile, so weirdo's don't go rifling through my stuff. When i was done i sat on the ground and laid the books out to sort out what i could and couldn't buy. When i narrowed it down, i put the books i didn't need back. When i finished i sat down again to text my friend which book she might want. Was during this time a middle aged associate with brown short hair and glasses approached me to ask me very plain faced if i was finding everything fine. So far i had. Then she asked me if i would be purchasing the books under my jacket that were laying on the ground. A was a bit takin aback by the implication she was making. I didn't realize i looked like a thief. I shopped here pretty regularly and have never stolen anything before, not to mention this is my first visit being approached by their associates at all but i quickly took my jacket off and said i would be purchasing the books. Sorry if that looked fishy. My b. But then she then asked if i would like her to take them and put them on hold at the front. And that's where i was sort of irritated. I'm sorry what? I'm literally in the middle of finding a gift for my friend, and you are really that sure i was going to steal that you already jump to confiscating a potential purchase? Geeze hold you're horses. I've been shopping here nearly 3 times a month for the past year, membership card and everything, and i've never had an associate approach me. But this one time i have been approached by 3 different associates including this woman. I'm a bit offended, because it just occured to me i've been on their survelience for stealing this whole time??? I never felt so paranoid for trying to NOT look like i'm stealing i work in retail myself and i understand the procedures that go into preventing theft, but never have they been more wrong. I purchased thr books as planned, then looked at their reciept to see if there was a number i could call to file a complaint. I honestly don't want to shop here anymore if they think i would steal simply by sitting on the ground, nowhere near their entrance, with my purchases near my belongings? Ease off, lady.

If you love books then nothing needs to be said. People at this location are friendly and very helpful. Store is rarely disordered. Think the only time I saw it slightly dirty was during the Christmas season. Love having a coffee shop attached so I can grab a cup of joe while enjoying my new book. 😁
