  I thought all book stores were gone. So glad I could still walk in to one and browse. Loved it.

  Medium sized Barnes & Noble in the Middletown near Newport Rhode Island. Very well organised and efficient. It is also very well stocked. I did not like the fact that they charged me to join a membership of their loyalty program so that you get discounts on books you purchase. I think I should have been informed of it well in advance. Very helpful staff though.

  Extremely high prices and very many restrictions on coupons. Basically if you are not a paying member, you do not get any deals whatsoever. I would highly suggest eBay or Amazon over the store. Prices online are cheaper, but they get you with shipping. Waste of time!

  Compared to other B&N this is a bit smaller and their bargain book section reflects this. The staff has always been friendly, but the layout is a bit crowded. Might be only decent book store option on the island though.

  It's tough to review a bookstore. They have a lot of books, and you'll find something to read for sure. Haven't had much staff interaction, and I've never used the cafe. I bought a $15 book and got a coupon for $10 off cheesecake, it's strange. At least with a bookstore you can read a chapter before you buy a book, or pick something up and then decide on something else before you buy.
