The greatest B&B we have been to. Pam and Dallas made us feel right at home. Beautiful people. I booked this place for my bofriends birthday. Pam had a cake and balloons in the room at my request. And the wine tour I booked through them was awesome. Dallas drove us to each winery and even gave us the history of the town. Than set up a table for us at one of the wineries with crackers, beef cold cuts, fruits and cheeses. The view, the weather was wonderful. I highly recommend the wine tour with the stay. It was definitely worth it. Very romantic. Can't forget their dog Quincy, friendly dog and adorable. Thank you Pam and Dallas for making our stay awesome!
Pam and Dallas are amazing hosts. This historic house is a magnificent setting for comfort and hospitality. The breakfasts are fresh and made to order and you are given the option of when you would like to be served. Pam's recipes are sure to delight your palette. They are gracious and helpful hosts and will help with suggestions and reservations. We keep coming back here to our home away from home.
Fantastic location. Pam and Dallas are awesome and they dog Quincy was the highlight.
I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Very nice home, the room was very clean and comfortable. The owners Pam and Dallas are very accommodating. The food was very good. There dog Quincy was so loving.
Best night's stay in a long time! Beautiful house, a big loving labrador, and wonderful hosts! I only wish we had stayed longer and we certainly will be back soon.
This bed-and-breakfast was recommended to us by the reservation taker at Accomac. She could not have made a better recommendation for a place to stay overnight. The hosts Pam and Dallas were the consummate innkeepers. Their dog Quincy was a treat I think he weighed is much as I did or I wish I weighed as much as he did. He's a big fox red laborador who loves all the attention he gets. The place was a phenomenal overnight stay-very Victorian and cozy and the breakfast the next morning was enough to keep us going until dinner that night. Make sure you go for a walk down on the river it is very peaceful and calm in the morning just grab a cup of coffee from the dining room and enjoy the scenery before you have your breakfast.
This was our second visit to the B F Hiestand House. We stayed overnight for a night stay in the cannon cottage. We checked in and Dallas gave us a tour of the lovely Victorian manor, pointing out any amenities that have changed since we last stayed. We had a lovely dinner at one of the nearby pubs, and returned to our room and enjoyed the big jet tub and multiheaded shower for a very romantic, relaxing night and a lovely breakfast the next morning. I have gluten intolerance, and Pam remembered this from our last stay, confirmed with me and made sure to prepare a gluten free breakfast for me. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.
Wonderful B&B! We fully enjoyed the home. We spent time in the rockers on the front porch and time after dinner in the living room. Quincy, a friendly house pet, was a delight.
We learned about the home and the area from our hosts. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were considerate of all heath preferences.
Guests should take note of the dining room furniture and take a tour of George's furniture if their time allows! Magnificent!!
The Northwest River Trail offers comfortable walking/running/biking enjoyment for all fitness levels. Access to the trail is convenient to the B&B.
My husband and I visited PA for the first time and stayed at B.F. Hiestand House Bed and Breakfast for four nights. Pam and Dallas made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were amazing. The house was absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed a special sweet treat that was waiting in our room each evening when we returned. (I especially enjoyed Pam's homemade chocolate chip cookies!) There was also a refrigerator with water and canned drinks outside our room in the hallway. All of the amenities were wonderful! We will definitely return again!
