My best friend had her wedding ceremony/reception here over the weekend and the staff was GREAT! The bartender was wonderful and the venue was gorgeous. Really fun, romantic, unique place for a wedding and/or reception.
Great, laid back atmosphere on Sat and Sun afternoon. Bring in your food and sit back and relax with cold beers and friends (they don't sell food but there plenty of places with food nearby. There is a food truck some times). Dogs and kids running around. What's not to love?
Wish I could give this place more stars. Loved my experience. Had their flight, hit on all cylinders. Every beer was solid. Very kid friendly venue. Our son had tons of fun playing with all the other kids on the lawn. Just good times all around.
This was my favorite brewery in Birmingham. Very kid friendly - I loved that my two year old could run around in the backyard area with all the other kids (and I didn't have to worry about him getting bored inside a brewery). The beer was great, and loved the live music. Will definitely go back!
Great craft beer in a cool part of the city. Really good place to meet and hang out with friends. The history of the brewery is pretty interesting as well. Certainly worth checking out for yourself.
Nice tap room with a wide variety of beers. I liked the outdoor beer garden behind the business which includes an outdoor bar. There is a large stage where I understand they host a variety of bands.
Took tour with John, it was amazing and very informative! Beer was really good tried the vanilla porter brewed in bourbon barrels. Great!
Can't beat the atmosphere here, especially on a sunny day! You'll find local townies hanging out table or barside; some even with their dogs, which can come inside or outside. This place is very pet friendly. There are several craft beers to choose from, around $5-6 each, with restaurants surrounding it (which you can bring food in & grab a drink). You can even catch live music from time to time. If you like breweries, this would be one of my first stops in town!
Although I'm not a beer drinker, I like Avondale Brewing simply for the atmosphere. They're so dog friendly, and the events they have there are great. They were the first place I ever saw St. Paul and the Broken Bones! They also host a wonderful farm-to-table event each year, Graze, that really brings the community together with local farmers and chefs that I look forward to every year. And if you're a sports fan, never fear--they've got plenty of TVs so that you can keep track of your favorite teams.
One of my favorite places to grab a drink in Birmingham. It is both family and pet friendly. You will meet some great people and make some great connections here. I know i have. It has a small inside seating and bar area and a large park and outdoor bar behind the building. Pets are allowed both inside and outside.
