My wife and I stopped by to get help with the flu and due to being sailors from Norfolk, this was the only place to go. After told that we need to go to the ER, the woman at the front, informed us that we had to wait until 0800 to register at admin. Understood.. I will bend to these rules. We waited a couple of minutes by the information desk and watched various older women and men (veterans mind you) needing help walk by. Every time people would ask where to go, she would only say, "ain't me" and stare down at the desk, pretending to be important. Girl you the reason why this service is garage Information desk lady on station (12/21/17, @0630).. looking at you..

I realize that any place has room to be better. I have had positive experiences with them almost everytime. Biggest problem I see is the parking problem which hopefully will get better in time.

On Aug.3rd. I woke up with a heart attack,My wife drove me to the VA hospital E.R. they immediately went to work saving my life.In no time they had a blood test done that showed that I was in fact having a heart attack, and got me right in to the operating room to do an angioplasty and install stints.In the intensive care unit I was treated like royalty,and when I was transferred to a regular room the care was just as amazing. The after care has been just as good. I spent my birthday in the hospital, and the staff brought me a special birthday meal, and a nice piece of cake,and they all wished me a happy birthday. God bless the Dr.s and the staff at the VA.I have been receiving all my medical care from the VA since I retired,I love my primary care physician, and the nurse practitioners that occasionally see me. If you come in acting like an entitled jerk, that is how you will be treated.If you come in polite, and grateful,you will be lavished with great treatment.

I have been treated at the Decatur VA for over 30.years for everything. They are fantastic. They hAve treated me for.chronic pain, ptsd and open heart surgery, and ALWAYS came thruGod.bless the VA and it's staff.

While there have been times we (my Father and I) have had to wait past the appointment, time there was usually a good reason for it and they were on top of it. I can say with good conscious that the staff at both the Atlanta Veterans Hospital and the Blairsville Ga Clinic are the most caring, affectionate medical people I have ever encountered,
We have been going to both facilities for over 10 years so this review is formed from many visits. Nothing is perfect and when servicing this many people things will get a bit hectic sometimes. Just be patient- the end result is worth it.
My Dads life has been saved several times due to the care he has received and our family is so grateful for the VA system.

I have been trying to get a primary care appointment for 2 years. I have called several times with a promise of a call back. Does anyone know where I can signup for the welfare line? I'm told that they get better service.

The place can seem chaotic, but they take care of a huge number of people. They've saved my life twice in the last 6 years. I can only say good things about the medical staff. I have heard from vets who visited other VA hospitals that ours is much better then most. God blessum.

This place is terrible, I'm at the hospital with my father and it is 93 degrees outside I had to walk to the counter to ask them to cut on the air in the waiting rooms?????? These people are here sick; not only being hot the wait time is extreme, one worker claim they are having problems with no beds????? He has been here 6 hours????? This is insane and I'm calling channel 2 or channel 5
These are the people that served our country and this is how they get treated????

And at the 7th hour he had to leave because that's too long and he was not only worst. also they lied about how many people was ahead of him one lady name Vivian said 4 and he went and asked the receptionist man and he said 6. Now this an hour after Vivian said 4. The numbers should go down not up right?????

Is a place for vets to go die. Just very bad. No one ever answers the phone. Months for an appointment, that is if you can talk to someone to make an appointment. Broke my foot 7months ago. Have never been seen by doctor. Exray's and a boot. Wow. If I could afford insurance I would never go back. Maybe they should fire ppl when they don't do there job. Just for starters.

I owed them a great deal of respect for saving my life twice. They have great doctors and nurses working at VA hospital. However, the admission and check in staffer are little rough around the edges. The janitor and ladies that serve lunch were better than admission.

I have never had one single bad experience in the 9 years I have been going to this facility. I'm thankful for the free healthcare I receive at the facility. No medical facility is perfect. The VA serves thousand of veterans, that alone is enough to understand that these people are trying to their best. I pray things continue to get better for them🙏🏻
