I went in the other day looking for some tequila and whiskey and was helped by Stephen. He went above and beyond to make sure I left a happy customer. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to give me a couple great options at my price point. They have a great selection and awesome staff. Would definitely recommend!
Biggest liquor store in downtown Denver. Just a small walk from or bus ride from the 16th street mall and they deliver.
The beers are cheaper than the liquor store
Lots of choices. Found rare liquors here
Last night was the best! My friends and I went to this shop, and the wines and champagne that we ordered were very good and tasty. Also, the place was cool, comfy, and not crowded. Honestly, we greatly enjoyed spending our night at this place. It was perfect to chill and hang out. Thank you so much! Till next time!
I was incredibly impressed with their delivery service. Do you know what? The wrong wine came! Do you know what else? They fixed it as soon as they found out. That's right folks! Jen in billing is a genuine problem solver! Loved working with her. In this world, it's not about being perfect and never making a mistake it's about making sure that when accidents inevitably happen that you handle them with professionalism, kindness and grace. That's exactly what happened here. I couldn't be more thrilled with the customer service skills at the Argonaut. Thanks, folks! I'll be back! To future customers, buy with confidence. They've got good people working there.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. After being a rewards member for years, and speaking nothing but good things about them to my friends and family, they seriously screwed me over the other night. I was standing in line with a huge purchase when a homeless man walked in the store. I didn't even look at him, and obviously had no association with him. The store manager picked me out of the line in front of a huge crowd, loudly proclaimed that I was with this man and refused to serve me, then kicked me out of the store. I was extremely embarrassed and will NEVER go back again. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
This place has everything you could want in a liquor store. Many options of every type of booze, helpful sales associates, and everything you'd want to accompany your drinks. I love that I can buy luxardo cherries here. There are regular sales here which makes it affordable and fun to try new things based on what's a good deal on a given week.
I have shopped here religiously since my first visit. Monday was my birthday, and I could not find the bottle of wine that I had wanted to accompany my birthday dinner. I couldn't get anyone to help me find it. Finally at the register with some of the items I was able to find, the cashier had this "oh well" attitude. She didn't seem to care at all.
Based on other reviews I have read, it seems that customer service has gone to hell here. They will not be getting all of my business as they once did. Thanks for the disappointment on my birthday !
Great sales, very knowledgeable staff. I asked about sake and just happened to speak with someone who was actually able to tell me, in detail, about the sakes available there. They are usually very nice. The only negative is possibly that the parking lot doesn't feel entirely safe some times. I live right across the street and that whole are has some problems, nothing to do with the store itself. They have great security. Just something to note.
Used Argonaut for our drinks at my wedding. They have a good craft beer selection and Cami Schaffer recommend some top notch champagne and wines which I don't know much about. We were able to return 300$ worth of unopened drinks. Talk to Cami to plan your drinks list for your next event, she was a joy to work with.
The best selection of beer, wine and liquor in the Denver area - everyone is super knowledgeable and can help you with everything! They even sell snacks like hummus, meat and cheese.
Also, if you join their reward program, you get discounts on items in the store!
Was here with my girlfriend just now. The cashier asked me if I was good as I yawned while I was walking towards the cash register. I said of course.and I asked him the reason he asked and he then responded that they don't sell alcohol to people who are drunk or intoxicated. And again asked me if was good. I tried to laugh it off but it was completely out of line. I don't drink. I'm not intoxicated. When I said that I didn't drink he didn't respond with any sort of apology just rang my girlfriends order up and ignored me when I said that I was upset. I will never bring my business here ever again.
I love this place. There's always something new to try! No one's gotten back to me about an order yet and it's been a while, but I'm sure they'll get to me!
They've never not found an alcoholic beverage for me before, and their employees are all sweethearts!
Incredible selection of spirits and amazing sales. The one downside was their website forcing me to pay for my order before entering the store in order to reserve it. They bagged the wrong item and if I didn't check I would have went home with something different from what I ordered. If not for these things I would have given 5 stars.
DON'T EVER GO THERE! No one tried to help and they laughed at me because the item I was trying to find wasn't in their store. The employees are extremely rude. I will never go there again.
Arguably one of the best liquor store in state of Colorado. Gigantic selection of wine, spirits and beers. They also mark their price very fairly. I've been going there since I moved to the states.
You might be able to find some rare finds that you simply can't find anywhere else. Of course, it's limited to one per costumer on those rare items. The manager told me because they want all people be able to enjoy what they have to offer, and I love them for it.
If you like alcoholGO HERE. They had just about everything you could want, on two floors. A big local selection, too. When we travel, I always try to buy a bottle of local wine, and they didn't disappoint. The staff wasn't really outgoing, but they were kind and helpful when approached. Parking is easy, but the sign on the building is not huge--we drove by it once before we found it.
Good selection, fairly high prices. Look for sales to bring prices back to a reasonable level. This is one of the largest, nicest liquor stores in Denver. Aisles are well marked, so the store is easy to navigate. The staff is hit-or-miss, though they at least offer to help usually. In addition to a large selection of wines and beer, they have lots of good Bourbon, Rum, Gin, and a nice selection of Vermouth, Ameros, and liqueurs.
The prices here are nothing to drive across town for, but they are usually reasonable to good. With that said, Argonaut has the corner on selection. If I need Bud Light I can go anywhere, but when I need to find a specialty drink or a specific gift, I head straight here. We've also used them to deliver to our company for office events ranging from 10-150 people. Always fast and accurate with the deliveries.
