The Apple Genuises lived up to their name and went above and beyond. They fixed an issue that was preventing me from doing my job. They didn’t charge a dollar. If I could provide 10 stars that still wouldn’t be enough. Excellent, intelligent, professional and prompt service. Strongly recommend this location to anyone.
Architecturally significant redo of an old building. The all glass, 3 story staircase is an engineering wonder. Truly, there is no steel or support of any kind in the structure. Stop for a minute and really take it in. Otherwise, this is just a standard Apple store with no redeeming value.
I've had good luck at this location. YES, you might wait a while to speak to someone but they are always helpful when you do. Today I was helped by a woman named Michelle and she was WONDERFUL. Super helpful, honest, and direct. Thank you.
It is a really great store! With really great employees! They are always ready to help you, when you have a question or concern. Their tech support is #1. No matter what issues you are having they can help you fix them! It’s also just a really nice place to hang out! The building itself is really nice also!
Clean all glass structure, 3 floors, set in the upbeat and hip Meatpacking District of Manhattan. The apple staff is helpful and usually responsive to all questions about your Apple products. Greeters will guide you to the floor or location where you'll be best helped. Gets crowded after work and weekends! Classes are difficult to hear at peak times (evenings), although the instructors are super helpful and very knowledgeable.
First of all, they did fix my computer and it's great now. BUT, I had to wait for so long. I had an appointment and I arrived about 20 minutes before, the guy who worked there said I should have a seat that he'd try to get someone to see me before my time. I asked if I had to come back when it was actually the time scheduled and he said no cause he had checked me in. So I sit, I waited the 20 minutes and nothing, which is ok, since it wasn't my appointment yet. So I waited 20 more minutes (after my appointment time) and nothing, so i finally got up and asked someone and they said I hadn't checked in. After that I still had to wait 10 more minutes but at least they solved my problem
Nice Apple store, good location. New and clean. The staff wasn't very busy and getting help was not as quick as one would tink. They were not too helpful or excited in general. Pretty meh for an apple store.
My Laptop would not start up but also would not shutdown. It was overheating. So I made an appointment for the Genius Bar. I got there earlier than I was scheduled tp arrive. I was checked in and assigned a genius rep immediately. He analyzed the issue with my laptop within fifteen minutes. He also did an electronic analysis of my system right in front of me to be certain that everything was working properly. Then he gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions about apps and updates. The place was very crowded but no one had to wait very long for assistance. I think this was the best and most satisfying visit I have had at any Apple store. I will go there from now on.
One more beautiful Apple store. Strange when you think of how Google has such a dominance in the neighborhood.. Moreover, more companies should be like Apple and let you use their restroom!! Thank goodness for Apple.
I love this place. I love taking my students here for field trips. The staff is amazing and Educational field trip coordinator is such a sweet guy. They welcome the class upon arrival with applause & they're really sensitive to the needs of my special education students. These staff members have patience & understanding and should be applauded for their hard work. They also provide every student and staff member with t-shirt. Students get to go home with whatever work they created on a cool bracelet that doubles as a flashdrive. All for free!
I will keep taking my students here and recommend all teachers of special education classes to bring their students as well.
A+ customer service.
My computer wasn't charging so I brought it in to the Genius bar (early morning, no wait). My rep instantly went through all the testing and we determined it was the Magsafe charger (sidenote: version 1, so not good). New charger came out to be $67. He noticed that I couldn't pay for it (I can't; rent and student loans), asked if I was in college (which I am), and ended up replacing it for free after I showed him my ID.
This single act of empathy and kindness guarantees that I will be buying Apple in the future. I will buy myself, my wife, my children, my grand-children, and my great-grand-children Apple. Thank you Apple.
Keywords: long wait, arrogant and rude Genius Bar stuff, racial discrimination against Asian
I was selectively ignored and mistreated at my visit to the Genius Bar on 06/03/17.
The staff continuously ignored my existence while helping out other people that were sitting at the same table as me (me being the only Asian at the table). No one came to check on me while everyone else around me was being helped. Indeed it took another girl (Caucasian American) next to me to point out to the staff that I'm also a customer waiting to be helped because no one would even make eye contact with me for me to have a chance to speak with them.
Even when I was finally being helped, the specific genius was indifferent, if not arrogant, and rude. He did not address me (no greeting of any sorts), did not introduce himself to me, did not apologize for the long wait that I have suffered. However I did observe him doing above, what I considered normal retail store curtesy, to the other people at the same table before me.
I have to ask myself, when did apple decide that they want to follow united for customer service?
Btw, I was told to come back at 7pm to pick up my phone, but I finally get my phone back in my hand at 8:15pm. Over an hour wasted at the Apple Store because Supposedly "your phone is coming right out". Although, I believe that's the norm at this Apple Store location?
Thank you, Apple, for teaching me what racial discrimination is, in a city such as New York.
As usual, you come in to get something fixed, and the "genius" throws every excuse in the book at you why they can't fix it. Latest gem: Since I've had my phone fixed at a lab that's not Apple in the past, they can't fix it in their lab "for safety concerns". So I'm left with no option but to buy a "new" phone. But hey, on the bright side, I get one more pixel on my camera for the bargain price of $850, tax included.
Made a appointment at 7:05 pm cam in around 6:45pm for the appointment and now it's 7:23pm and I still haven't taken care of. It seems like they just passed me since they are starting to help this lady who walked in way after me. I am not very happy with how they care of customers here and it almost feel like they are purposely doing this considering my racial status. Not a happy customer and don't plan to come back to this location
Most Apples stores look similar but they are all so beautiful as is this location. The employees are helpful and the classes held here are informal as well. I recommend this store!
