It's a nice historic place to see. A romantic place for two for dinner there food there is GREAT!!! Or rent the Pav.and have a party the staff there is always friendly always willing to help you with all your needs.
Beautiful decor. Really feels like you've gone back in time without sacrificing modern amenities. Restaurant is sublime; some of the best meals I've had in my life.
The restaurant is good. The wedding accommodations are above average. The rooms are charming and not too bad B and B in nature. But I think a "luxury" hotel has to be in a place you would actually want to stay. Tawneytown is a gas station stop on an ancient highway of war, there is nothing of interest in the town aside from the hotel.
Great service from Staff. Rooms need serious updates and repairs, but there is still charm from the historic environment. You won't get the fast service that the fast paced city will offer. Dinner was about 3 hours long, but with all the time in the world and no where to go, it was easy being patient. Especially with good company.
My wife set up a stay here for my birthday. Everything was excellent. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The Food was excellent. And the staff were very professional. Wonderful stay!!
My husband and I stayed here a couple years ago for our honeymoon and I can't believe I've waited so long to write a review. We were treated so wonderfully, we were very impressed with Antrim's beauty and we STILL talk about the Smokehouse Restaurant. It was unbelievably good!
I attended a wedding rehearsal at Antrim 1844. The grounds were beautiful, and the dinner itself was great too. We had some drinks and hors d'oeuvres at a patio area on the side that could use a little fixing up though. The ground was very warped and the seat cushions were dirty. The employees flipped the cushions, but that's only a temporary fix. The dining room inside was nice, and the employees were all nice and courteous. I'd definitely go back, but I'd want it to be inside only.
Beautiful venue and beautiful wedding! The weather was perfect in the shade on a warm September afternoon. The grounds are well kept and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well worth the price the next morning.
The Inn is beautiful inside and out. The grounds are well kept and amazing. The service is what would be expected from a 5 star inn, and the food was great. We would easily go there again.
Always superb! The bed and breakfast, the service and the food is all wonderful! The staff makes you feel very special. Definitely a special treat for a romantic getaway.
Attended a wedding here. The service provided throughout the event was excellent, staff is very courteous, helpful and professional and the food is excellent.
From the moment I drove onto the property, I knew this was a special place. It is exactly like taking a step back in time. The entire staff was the most friendly possible. They directed us to where we were staying and everything we needed. The reception was amazing and the ceremony was even better. I will absolutely return.
Was in a wedding here. Very romantic atmosphere and the mansion stays true to the historic charm. Only complaint is the breakfast portions were small. For 2 people, each person only gets one small muffin and coffee. But the food at the reception was fantastic and had better portion sizes.
We had a wonderful evening here. The grounds are well maintained and the main house is fascinating. The staff is very helpful and the food was delicious!
This was our first visit to Antrim 1844, and we will definitely be returning. We stayed in the Ice House, which was beautiful, roomy, and perfect for a romantic get-away. Dinner in the Smoke House was easily the best meal we've had the pleasure of partaking in. The service, the food, the ambience - all top notch! We cannot wait to visit again when the roses and gardens are in bloom! Thank you to everyone who made our stay enjoyable and memorable!
