Worst Italian food I've ever had. We ordered chicken Alfredo, they gave us just Alfredo. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza which had only cheese, and a baked pasta with meat sauce. They gave me penne pasta with pasta sauce in the middle and no cheese. The food had no flavor. This was a carry out order so we were very disappointed when we got home. We will not be returning.
Pizza was great. We arrived close to closing so menu was shortened to only order pizza
That was fine and understandable. Services sucked. Server showed her dislike for us and I might add 3 other tables being there.
The name and outside leads you to believe this is another upscale restaurant the handwritten note on the door saying they were closed Mon-Tuesday should have given us a clue. Walking in and having Two people behind the counter not acknowledge us the inside does not equal what you see outside. More of a drive-in type set up. I guess the glaring thing was looking at menus with many items scratched out in pen
Waitress nice.. food underwhelming.
It has been nicely remodeled but the interior has lost much of its history and old world charm. The prices have increased as portions decreased. Less than a year ago it was the best Italian restaurant in southwest Mi now it's just another average restaurant in South Haven. Even the employees seem to have lost their work ethic that made it a top notch establishment. Although on our last visit we witnessed one server work her tail off for her section the rest of the employees didn't seem to care about the customers or the once great restaurant. The 4 rating was out of generosity and the past reputation. Otherwise it's really just a 3 . Hope this serves as a wake-up call for management before they run a once great restaurant into the ground.
I love coming here for the Italian antipasto! It's absolutely delicious. I'm a big eater and it always fills me up! The bread sticks are always delicious too. I can't comment on many of the other dishes. Only that I've come here with others who have ordered different entrees and never heard any complaints. I've only been there for lunch and have always had good quick service.
Good service, okay food. I got the eggplant Parmesan and it definitely wasn't what I expected. The sauce was too sweet for my taste, the eggplant wasn't peeled and was barely breaded. I was in a large group and didn't want to make a scene so I didn't say anything but I'm sure if I spoke up they would have fixed the situation. Maybe other items on the menu are better but I did not have a great experience.
Pizza is awful, most expensive bread you'll ever purchase! Rude, immature, and any bad review they get normally ends with them picking a fight with you publicly over it. You can read that on their fb review for yourself and be the judge of if you wanna take the chance of coming in here and having the same awful experience happen with you
The pizza was good, service was slow but friendly. Busy on a Saturday night, would go back.
Absolutely the worst restaurant I've ever been to! The service was terrible, I waited over 45 minutes for just an appitizer an over an hour for entrees. Stuffed pizza was dry and no sauce and the lasagna had no flavor. Do yourself the favor and don't waste your time!
Yep one star was too much.. canned spaghettios are better!
Do not eat here
literally everything, both of our drinks tasted like drink mix and cheap alcohol,
The bread was basically dry pizza crust
And both of our entres were junk,, the chicken in them was dry seemed left over from days before..
Don't give in to curiosity and go here like I did.
There's a reason why it's Saturday night and like 3 people here right now!
I've been going to South Haven for years and I love coming back to this place. The pepperoni is some of the best pepperoni I've ever had. It's got a nice spicy kick to it. Yes the decor inside is dated - but otherwise I really like this restaurant. I think the decor makes it feel even more like home. It's a cozy restaurant with a small town charm.
