CUSTOMER SERVICE A+. Went for dinner last night and had some issues with our seating (essentially explained that it would be a 15 minute wait and turned out to be around 45 to an hour). Kind of a cruddy situation but not a huge deal (apparently I must have looked quite upset because what followed was amazing). Once a table was finally opened we were apologized to by the hostess, which we would have assumed was the end of it. Afterwards our waiter immediately came to our table and informed us he heard there was problems with getting us seated and apologized again. He asked us what beers we were drinking (we had gotten them at the bar since it was taking a while). The manager of the establishment then came to us and explained he heard the same and that they would be doing everything they could to make this enjoyable. At this point we were more than happy and were couldn't believe the lengths they were coming to On top of that, he asked us if we liked chocolate chip cookies and provided us a free appetizer (if you haven't had them, just get them they're amazing). The waiter also gave us another round of drinks. When the bill finally came we only paid for our actual meals and nothing else. Extremely impressed with the customer service that everyone went to, I don't believe I've ever been treated so well at a restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful fun with the group of about 20-22. We all had a great variety of entrees and were served in line and the service was perfect. The first only had to wait a minute for the last to be served. I had the Gluten free Rib Meal (Full Rack). It was delicious and so were the Sweet potatoes. Also, there were 2 additional treats.. complimentary chocolate chip cookies, and a complimentary fresh dog bone from the kitchen. We were served by two girls who were prompt and courteous, Alexis was on our side of the table, and her coworker on the other. They were great considering we ordered separate checks. As a former server this is probably the most complicated of things we come across and there were no errors or looks of disgruntled employees. We will do it again or with my family!
Love getting up north for the weekend, but don't have time? Do you have a craving for that "wood-cabiny" feel from a flannel-laden bartender who will serve you hot and fresh chocolate chip cookies with your meal? Then look no further than the Moose Preserve!
By the way, this is also a great spot to use as a common-ground meeting place for that long-overdue intervention that you've been meaning to have for either the family dog lover or that overly enthusiastic hunter in your life. ;-)
I am a huge fan of the Moose Preserve. I have been to the restaurant multiple times. Yesterday, I decided to take my brother/family to celebrate a birthday. Everyone loved their dinners except for me. I have never had a bad meal from this place. I ate the fish, but left the potatoes & squash. The waitress asked how the dinner was and I was honest. She brought the manager over who was lovely and she took the meal off my bill and gave me a little something to go. I was very surprised. I honestly did not expect this at all. So, if you are considering on going to a restaurant that has overall great quality, awesome servers, and management that actually listens and cares about the reputation of their workplace, go to the Moose Preserve. The atmosphere, employees, and venison chili will keep you coming back! :)
Great service and great food. I had the Cowboy Mac and did not leave hungry. So good! My partner had the Sheppard's Pie and he couldn't finish it. Great place!!
The food was okay. My salad had stale tortilla chips and my husband's chicken ceasar salad was not worth the price. Our waitress was slow and it was not busy
Found this place nearby and was not disappointed! The restaurant itself is amazing decor inside and great outdoor seating. Went with the buffaloloaf and it was awesome. Others in my party went with the fish fry and they said it was perfect. Lite breading not greasy and great cole slaw.
Cozy place, good service. Fish and chips are the best. Macaroni and cheese outstanding. Fried Brussel Sprouts chips DELICIOUS! The Calamari is NOT Calamari! Chocolate Chip cookies are fresh and hot out of the oven. Tried alot of other menu items, but would not order them again.
Moose Preserve its a must go if you are in the Pontiac area. From venison chili to buffalo meatloaf and fish and chips There is a wide variety to choose from and it is all excellent. Large portions too so you don't leave hungry - check out the fried chicken dinner with FIVE pieces of chicken. I've never seen anyone eat it all! But leave room if you can for the plate of warm, homemade chocolate chip cookies!
This place is beyond amazing. The most amazing service I've ever encountered. The manager Kaitlyn, is honestly so impeccable. She truly cares about customer satisfaction and she goes above and beyond. This went from being a place I came to for dinner dates to convincing my whole office to come for lunch. The food is spectacular! The service is outstanding! The venue is beautiful, especially outside!
We go here all the time since we live nearby and its pretty good. I've had a couple menu items that I didn't really care for, but if give it a thumbs up overall. Laid back atmosphere
Great food. They know how to cook a steak. Had the black and bleu filet medium and a buffalo burger with onions and swiss. Both were great. Staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend
Great service, fantastic atmosphere! You have to try the Wild Thang appetizer for an all around treat. I'm sure everything on the menu is fabulous, but me I'm stuck on the Road Kill Grill. Just like Arnold, "I'll be back"
Shepards pie. Up-northy feel. Peoples framed dog pics all over the walls. Good beer. Family friendly. A must-stop when traveling on the east side. Shepards pie.
Outstanding service, great food. Would recommend to adventurous game eaters as well as those looking for many old standards.
