This place was a good spot to grab a beer and a bite. I had the shrimp corn dogs, clam soup with sherry, oysters and green beans. All of it tasted great and our server was super friendly. Would recommend if you’re looking for a simple lunch spot while exploring the city.

Delicious seafood. Great service! I highly recommend the calamari steak appetizer. I have never had anything like it. We tried risotto, snapper and blackened shrimp and every bite was expertly cooked and bursting with flavor!

Awesome cocktails and amazing food. Try some oyster shooters, even if (like me) you don't normally go for raw oysters. The shrimp and grits here was one flaming shrubbery short of a divine experience. So good.

Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar was recommended to my husband and I during our recent trip to Charleston. Our waiter was Michael. He was very knowledgeable about Charleston and was free with recommendations on what was good to order. We had been given a card for a complimentary order of Fried Green Tomatoes. Wow! They were crispy and cooked to perfection! I loved the Pimento Cheese that was served with them. We both enjoyed a cup of She Crab soup. It could've had just a little bit more fresh crab in it, but the sherry made the flavor perfect. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits. I don't normally like grits, however, the grits at Amen Street were soooo delicious. I wished that I had ordered them instead of the yummy burger I'd ordered. My husband finished the meal with Key Lime pie, which he must've enjoyed because there weren't even crumbs left on his plate. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant on Restaurant Week September 2016 and out of all the restaurants we tried, it was our favorite. When it was time to pick a restaurant for my birthday on our trip back to Charleston, I knew Amen Street was it.

We started with a half dozen of the house oysters. The sauce that comes with it is a red wine sauce with shallots, which compliments the oysters perfectly. If that weren't good enough, they have an in house hot sauce that's made to pair with seafood. It was excellent.

As my entree I got the scallops with pork belly and greens, and my husband got the filet with haricot verde and mashed potatoes. I cleaned my plate, and had a few bites of the filet and mashed potatoes. There's only so many adjectives you can use to describe food- the flavors were complex, delicious, and memorable.

Somehow we managed to save room for the pecan pie, and it was just as great as I remembered.

I made a reservation and was seated right away. I'm not a fan of seafood so I ordered the 8 oz. filet. My complements to the chef! My medium-well filet was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were creamy. If you are a fan of oysters, the staff is very knowledgeable. I would definitely come back.

I ordered the mussel appetizer and it made for a main course! Paired with a light and flavorful beet salad, it was excellent and filling! I also ordered the she-crab soup, which was topped with sherry, and though it was a bit over-peppered, it was delicious and contained whole pieces of crab legs and claws. This is definitely a southern seafood place that knows how to do seafood. As a bonus, our server was delightful. My dad ordered some southern classics: fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese as a starter and (sweet) Cajun shrimp and grits. Great food and service.

Delicious food and Danielle provided exceptional service! My husband and nephew split some oysters and I had the specialty salad of the day. It was my nephew's first oyster experience and he really enjoyed them. I had the mahi blackened with jambalaya - amazing, my husband had the swordfish with succotash - perfectly prepared, and my nephew had the Amen Sampler which he thoroughly enjoyed. Danielle had command of the menu and made some great recommendations. She had several tables and never seemed rushed or in a hurry to get away from us. She was WONDERFUL.

The Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar was recommended to us last night by a waiter in another restaurant. We we there today for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the ambiance, impressive seafood dishes, the outstanding service by Michael, and the excellent sanitation throughout the restaurant. Allof the employees that we met were courteous and professional. We will definitely return on our next visit to Charleston.

Food was great! Had the beet salad and the blackened shrimp app and my mom had the risotto. No complaints here! I had the bacon bourbon drink too which was interesting! Our server was nice and we got to sit outside and people watch. We would definitely go back!

The shrimp and grits should definitely be ranked number one. Incredible oysters, also get every app you can. Our server Michael was awesome too.
