Overall a positive experience and we love our new home (bought it new construction but didn't make any of the choices in the building. I was a little surprised that shower curtain rods and towel racks aren't included but those were cheap/fast to installthough that begs the question why they couldn't just do it

RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER.You will be very disappointed if you choose this builder. They will give 1000 promises before signing the agreement and then they will forget everything. The finishing works are awful. After completing the home it not even looks like a new one.

We love our house and new neighborhood. The builder and sales rep that we worked with were amazing. The only thing that Allen Edwin needs to work on is their interior designers in the show room. When we went in we were told we would be getting a door for the basement bathroom since we roughed in the plumbing, get a window in the storage room since it was on the floor plan, and glass cabinets in the kitchen over the computer niche. Turns out we weren't supposed to get any of this stuff. The builder was nice enough to give us the door to the basement bathroom for us at no additional charge, but the other items we didn't receive. If you do plan on going through Allen Edwin Homes make sure you have the interior designer write down and sign EVERYTHING that she promises.

They build great quality homes at affordable prices. We have owned our home since 2010 and absolutely love it. The energy bills are about 30% lower every month than my parents home that is over 1000 sq.ft. smaller. After completing a complete gut and renovation for our first starter home I wish we would have just bought brand new from the beginning.

From a picture alone, these homes appear beautiful; however, I seriously question the neighborhoods where these homes are being built. My fiancé and I were looking at homes in Alto, MI in a community named Alto Meadows. The description of the "community" paints a serene picture, but this couldn't be further from the truth. The neighborhood was in complete chaos and was a hybrid between a trailer park and 2-story homes. One home was so close to a trailer we could've jumped on its roof from the backyard deck. It was disgusting and turned me off to ANY home in my search that has the label "Allen Edwin Homes".

However, it was kind of a blessing because we were introduced to Ross. He was amazing and showed us the perfect house. Everything after that was very smooth and we had a fast transition into our new house. Which we love!

Our sales counselor, Ross Trantham, did an excellent job guiding us through the home purchase process. His experience assisted us with selections and his knowledge of the market made the buy/build decision easy. We all know there will be bumps in the road when building a new home, but Allen Edwin will support you. Ross won't try to sell you something you don't need. He will tell which options maximize value in the long run. Ross continued to answer questions and provide advice during construction and long after closing. I highly recommend Ross to anyone looking for a new home.
