Great place to see a new movie or a special screening! Comfy seats, large screens and some fantastic specialty movies. Plus the bar is fun.

Stick with ordering the bottomless popcorn and beverages, though. The prices for what you get in the food department are not great. The menu used to be good, but now it's more appealing to eat at the food court at Target.

The Alamo Drafthouse is a really cool place to see a movie. Downtown KC has been updated into a much more modern and fun place to hang out. Alamo's movie parties are a great time.

There tends to be a lot of talking during movies, because of the food and drinks being served. The prices are a bit high for those but the quality is good.

The seats in the theaters are not very spacious, nor are the aisles. But the arms are adjustable (up & down) and the seats themselves are pretty cushy. Altho, they do not recline. Since this is a popular spot, shows often sell out and there isn't much space between the seats. So be prepared to share an armrest and stand up every time someone needs to pass by.

Parking downtown isn't great but spots can generally be found in convenient enough places to get to Alamo with only a few minutes' walk.

I do recommend this theater because of its eclectic atmosphere and awesome events. But it's not the most comfortable or convenient place to catch a flick.

My wife and kids have been here multiple times. We drive from out of town to hit it as it's a favorite place to see a movie, grab a good burger and a great craft beer. It's always a great experience.

Really beautiful theatre. Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating. Food service isn't distracting during the movie (as it is in some theaters that aren't as well set up). Food is delicious and there are lots of fun options. We go here to see movies we are really excited about (because with the food, it is a little pricey. We usually end up spending 100 for a family of 4).

Nice place to go on a date! Movie and a meal is not too bad with pricing (unlimited popcorn $6). Has a nice menu and bar. Comfortable chairs with table for 2 in theater. Only complaint was it was chilly inside the movie Made it hard to enjoy our milkshake.
