Best fresh sushi in Columbus. Very pricey, so not an everyday thing, but once in a while and it is worth it.

Had Ramen. Delicious. Had the Honey, Dragonfly, and Philadelphia rolls. Delicious. Also had hot sake. Therefore, not driving. Smiles. Go there.

If you are a fan of Japanese and/or Korean food, then Akai Hana is where you need to be. You won't find a better Japanese restaurant anywhere in Ohio! Akai Hana is the best!

Gosh was here again today and yet another awesome experience. The lunch box of the day is the best thing ever! I have been going here for over a decade back to when they were Restaurant Japan and never a bad meal. They can be busy if u hit the lunch rush so I try and go right when the door opens at 1130

It was okay. It's different from what my husband and I are familiar with. The service is very friendly and watching the table for our needs. We regret going because it was a hefty bill. It would be nearly half the price at our regular go to Japanese restaurant. It's real busy for a Sunday, this is a popular place, many enjoy it. Just not us. Enjoy Japanese food eaters. :)

Great place to dine. Always good service. Only had one bad experience the entire couple years I've been dining here, but not bad enough to deter me from returning!

People keep saying this is the best place for authentic sushi in Columbus and honestly I can't really argue with that. The food is fantastic and not overpriced. The decor is kinda dated but maybe that's part of the charm. Definitely recommend for a fun dinner date.

Simply the best Asian food in Columbus.

The sushi is next to none and theres so much to try with no way of going wrong. Their lunch boxes are a great combination of foods with my second favorite definitely being the Stone Bibimbap.

Prices are medium to high, but the quality is bar none. Great place for a date or just a place to try with friends.

My wife and I had high hopes for this place. We had several people suggest it to us and we were let down. We hold every sushi place (Wild Ginger) to our favorite and although it was good, we found some of the rolls flavors to be lacking. The staff was nice, but we will probably stick with what we know.

Highly disappointing experience. I have an allergy to salmon. I went to Akai and decided to order a dinner box that had sushi. I asked what kind of sushi was in the box and salmon was one of the pieces. I explained my allergy to the waitress and asked if I could switch the one piece with something else. She said yes as long as it was less than or equal to the cost of salmon. After a while, the waitress came back and told me that management wouldn't allow any changes to the box even for an allergy. I went to Akai because I wanted sushi. The specialty rolls either had salmon in them or a fish that I didn't want to eat. Eventually the manager came over to "help". She said that if they allowed me to switch out the one piece of fish they would have to allow other to make changes as well. They are to busy for custom order. (I was there at 8:30 pm on a Thursday night. There was only 20 people in the restaurant.) Then she tried to off options of what to order but they were all non-sushi choices. I explained that I came in for sushi. She was pushy and became frustrated. Then she just walked away. The waitress returned a little while later. I told her that I'm just going to leave because there wasn't anything I wanted to eat and due to the horrible treatment from management. If you have any allergy this is not they place for you! Prior to this experience I have never had an issue with a restaurant accommodating my allergy.

Eight of us came here for my boyfriend's surprise birthday. Our friends got to Akai Hana just ahead of us, but the staff was gracious and seated them promptly so that they could surprise him at the table. Food is top notch!
