The bathrooms here show signs of neglect - corroded fixtures, grit and grime along the corners of the walls. Also, I staff standing around talking than working. The four garbage cans outside the theater were brimming full when I left my movie - on a Sunday at 630pm. This all just makes it seem like whoever runs the place is disengaged. I love going to the movies, but will do my best not to go to this theater again.

Arguably one of the better, cleaner, and more modern cinemas around Pittsburgh that is still within reach. Don't expect crowded and full theaters (which is good I think). Parking spaces are aplenty if you do drive. The seats may be a bit creaky, which is probably a symptom of wear, but if you're looking for a quiet and simple night at the movies, this is the place for you.

This was the first time my husband and I have gone to a movie for a while. Lets just say the last time we bought our tickets it was from a person. Now there are Kiosks. Times change I know. But my husband and I purchased our tickets and noted that we were charged more than a general admission ticket price. We were assigned seats which apparently is a VIP ticket purchase. So I went to the Customer Service Desk and the woman there was not helpful. She became confrontational when I asked her to explain what I needed to do to get the correct general admission ticket. Her explanation was that we had choices and when we made our purchase we needed to make the correct choice. We explained that we were not given a choice but assigned this ticket price. There was a family in front of us that voiced the same complaint. My husband and I asked that our money be returned and left without seeing the movie. This was a very disappointing experience.

I love going to the movies and this theater doesn't disappoint. AMCs in general have an amazing selection of movies and the concessions are good and standard. We have only used the reserve seating once so I can't speak much to that, but I found it wasn't really worth the price and the seats are pretty far from the screen. If you are going to a popular movie at a popular time with a larger group thought it is a great option to have.

The theater is great in size and the number of screens is plenty. The seats are also very comfortable and the staff is always friendly. HOWEVER, we recently went to see IT in IMAX, and we believe the sound was too loud and maybe needs checked or calibrated. I've been to many IMAX theatres/movies including watching Dunkirk, and have never heard a film (IT) this loud. At the peak volume it just sounded like noise, not high fidelity sound, and it was unpleasant. Please check the volume!! I'm an avid movie-goer, not too old or too young for loud movies, I just think this needs to be checked. I could be wrong, but I've never heard a theatre this loud before.

This movie house needs a good cleaning. Dust is an inch thick on everything and the drapery and carpets should be scrubbed or replaced. Trust me, take your own wipes and go over your seat before you sit down. When this place was new it was really nice but they need to invest in its upkeep. The employees are lazy and don't really care. However, its the assigned seating that keeps us coming back. Century Square Luxury Cinema is bigger and in a safer part of town. Its also newer and cleaner.

As a theater it's simply excellent. Spring for the plush reserved seats. The restaurant and bar on the second level offers a generic menu of middle to low quality food, amateurish service, and the slowest kitchen and bar service in the city on a per-customer basis so far as I can tell.

Restaurant prices are as inflated in the restaurant as they are at the snack counter. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere before or after your movie. Most options at the Waterfront are likewise generic, but service and prices will be more in line with food quality.

I use to work here recently. They rip off employees and customers. They did not pay me for my work and they hide smaller and more affordable meal items from customers. There is a descent bag of popcorn for $6, but you have to ask for it. Thank God I'm graduating from school soon and don't need this job, because they never paid me. Then got an attitude because I wanted my money. Oh and they hang up on customers constantly. Please go anywhere but here.

We started visiting here regularly, and so bought the reward card. We bought food and they didn't add rewards onto it when asked to. And also over $8 of rewards money disappeared despite having 8 months left before it expired. I contacted them, but nothing was ever done. Not been back since as we have a more local movie theatre.

Great place to watch a movie for date night or with friends. Food and drinks are great. Be sure to get VIP tickets. Well worth the price. Just wish it wasn't on the other side of the train tracks from the ghetto.

AMC Loews Waterfront = AWFUL management. A bunch of police officers and managers came into the 4 pm showing of Smurfs. Told everyone to leave. Didn't tell anyone why, which I understand maybe they couldn't but in this day an age with what has happened at theater's in the past, you at least say it is a non-emergency. Just told us to wait outside the theater. Kids were scared. I was extremely uncomfortable. I asked other staff outside what was going on and they didn't know. No explanation. 15 minutes later they tell us we can go back in. No apology. The female manager was ignorant as was the female attendant at the front service desk. The other staff were clueless when we asked questions. The female manager handed us two pieces of paper as we were being asked to leave but didn't explain what they were. Later the female manager explained they were passes to come back to another movie. We will not be using them. Never coming back here again. Horrible experience and only goes to show how unprepared this staff is if ever a true emergency were to occur.

I really enjoy going to AMC waterfront. No matter how many times I go, I still admire the concession area and the border displaying movie quotes throughout the entire theater. They also do a decent job at keeping the theater clean.

I can't really say anything negative about it. Plenty of parking, lots of nearby food, and there's also a restaurant/bar/lounge area in an upstairs section of the theater in the event you want to eat there instead. I did not try it myself so I can't speak to the quality, but it is a nice option to have.

The auditoriums I've been in are likely what you'd expect. Comfortable seats that rock slightly for additional comfort, and armrests that you can raise and lower if you're into that. They were also stadium seating, which I wish I didn't have to clarify, but I've been to a number of movie theaters that aren't, and it's just the worst.
