Great Motel. I love the Old OTIS Lift here. I can't say much about the rooms. But the lift is just Epic.

Nice motel facing the lake. Free wifi is per device per room and it not very stable. Wasn't even able to log in and check my emails.. Must depend on other guests hogging the wifi. Decent location and clean rooms with decent basic in-room coffee/tea facilities. Fresh little bottle of milk is a nice gesture.

Tui oaks is nothing special, other than good view of the lake.
The rooms are quite small. We got changed to a 1 bedroom room due to a plumbing problem in the studio room we had booked. The bedroom was very narrow, making passing by end of bed tight.
The female proprietor was pleasant enough, but can't say same for male proprietor. He was grumpy and not hospitable at all.
My wife and I wouldn't stay there again.

Have stayed here a few times. Room 401 is our favorite. Bedroom with a double and single, bath and shower, cooking facilities. This room is very sound proof. Hosts are lovely just ask them if you need something. Free wifi and a pool for warmer months. This place has a lift too. Located very central to shops, bars, gardens etc and there is a viewing platform to look over Lake Taupo right across the road.
