Absolute gem! Very reasonably priced, right on the water, rooms have a heater and air con, opening windows, about a 2 minute walk to the start of the main street, owners are awesome, has a resident cat! Showers are great bed is very comfy and it's very quiet

Top marks for Richard Johnston and his wife as our hosts. We planned our mid winter break many months ago and chose to stay here partly because Richard was so charming on the telephone when booking (I prefer to browse web sites first, then call the property direct), and took our personal request for a lake view room seriously. The compromise was the 10 minute walk from the centre of town which is ok on a fine day. The rooms were very adequate, tidy, serviced, and clean. The cleaning staff were excellent. We were particularly appreciative of the assistance we received from Richard when we became stranded by road closures owing to snow around National Park. He made the extra two days in winter conditions quite bearable. The Jolly Good Fellows restaurant team next door also added to the occasion with their cosy establishment, good service and great tucker!

there were cracks all through the walls, im not 100% sure what they think a kitchenette is but there was only a microwave a jug a toaster and a spatula?? I placed my bag on top of a cupboard and when i got it down a thick cloud of dust covered myself ground benches and was all over my bag. The room was booked for 3 adults and they refused to give us a 3rd chair. its not what i was expecting when you see there photos thats for sure and the behind the desk ladies were rude to us. so a 2 star is all they get

Nice location, great room and enough parking, only down side was that they double booked our room but moved us to a bigger room but we lost out on the spa bath which wouldnt normally be an issue except well its vallentines and that was one of the main reason we booked. All good though. Our room has more space that what we booked but the showers r a bit outdated for the price
