Booked the double room. Was spacious and the kitchen plus dining room is also big. The terrace overlooks the lake.

Somewhere between a hotel and a hostel (nice as a hotel, cheap and casual as a hostel). Great location, friendly staff, awesome facilities. Only stayed one night as we were passing through but would definitely stay here longer!

Great hostel, very friendly staff, clean, nice kitchen with beautiful view, free breakfast with eggs (50c extra). Can be very noisy when more people, which makes sleep impossible.

Stayed here for one night on a road trip through the North Island of New Zealand. Location was great, very central to the town and nearby bars and restaurants. We were there only 2 in a 6 bed dorm which was nice as well. Beds weren't that comfortable however, they didn't seem to be real mattresses, just giant cushions. Check in and out was easy.

Very friendly staff and nice rooms. The kitchen certainly needed an upgrade compared to some hostels I've been to. The location is great and overall I would recommend it to another backpacker. Free wifi was a huge plus would've given five stars if the kitchen had some new cookware.

The free breakfast and facilities were great. Downside is that you won't get much sleep, I wouldn't have minded the doors banging but the staff doesn't seem to care even if noisy inconsiderate guests are loud enough to wake you up a couple of times throughout the night. Expect shouting obnoxious laughing and loud music being played in the hallways by other guests. Not staying here again and would not recommend this place to others because of that.

Amazing little haven in Selong Belanak with an amazing food, not to be found anywhere else on the island. Worth it really!

We stayed there for a night on our way from Whakapapa to Auckland. The lady at the counter named Molly was very welcoming and helpful. She also give us one day free internet card which was great. The double room we stayed was very clean and towels were provided. The Lodge also provide free breakfast in the morning We will love to come back..Thanks Satya and Moonmoon
