  Great cafe tucked away from the road I had never known about. Food was great and I highly recommend the pizza. Corn fritters could do with a little bit more moisture to them.
  
  Nice cozy fireplace in the background made for a nice atmosphere.

  Just went today, always excited to find good cafes.. sadly I was disappointed. The food was average with high prices, the menu wasn't very exciting.
  I also paid for pancakes with bacon, but got three piklets with berries. Not worth the price. Won't recommend for food.
  Positive, they allow dogs there.

  After 10 days of travelling in our camper around the central North Island we headed for the west coast. We had eaten in alot at well known eateries, as you do, but decided to stop at this unknown cafe that appeared out if no where for brunch.
  There was plenty of room for the camper to park.
  Preparing for yet another 'meal' on the road, we didn't expect what arrived!
  The drinks served first were a pleasant start, in fact our daughters hot chocolate looked so good she didn't want to ruin it by drinking it! :)
  But the meals we got were amazing! They were plated as if you were in a top restaurant, but very generous sizes and tasted just as good as they looked! All 6 of us were very satisfied with our meals (which were all different but cooked fresh) and no one was left hungry, which is saying something for our 3 men! Thankyou for a great end to our adventure before we headed back up the country.

  Wow, what a Mothers Day experience I just had at Tawa Glen. Had to go up & ask for a coffee they forgot to bring. Everyone was half finished & me & my grandson were still waiting. The girl walked around to every table with grandsons pancakes before she found him. { WE HAD A NUMBER ON THE TABLE} I had ordered soup, but never got it. An hour later we got up to leave & the girl comes out with. Soup should be the easiest thing to prepare on the menu, just needs reheating. Got my refund & left. Happy Mothers Day to me. Went home & cooked my own lunch.
