Friendly (and slightly quirky / interesting) staff? Check.

Downtown Okato Cafe is a refreshing change of the blandness of a world that has normalised Starbucks. If you are in New Plymouth, it's worth a drive. If you don't drink coffee, try the food. And sure to visit the toilet
