This is a cosy ,quirky, little cafe in Opunake. We arrived with the lunchtime crowd so it got very busy and the wait time for food was longer than we expected. There is a tiny area outside which caters for those who enjoy the sunshine while eating. I ordered the BLT which was pretty good. My friend ordered a scone, custard slice and a cuppa. She said her order was delicious.

Three stars because while The Cove item, French toast with fruit, was excellent, my partners Meat Lovers sandwich was small and not filling. For $11 a sandwich should be more than warm bread with 3 slices of meat. The music choices did not match the décor or the food choices

Great food,great service with nice cosy spot for resting while eating out the back. 5 stars, we will go back also a motorcyclist friendly cafe.

Great funky little cafe with an awesome breakfast menu. Seems to have a big reputation in a small town. People were coming in non - stop the whole time we were there. Very friendly vibe.

This was the first time I had been here and it was excellent. It was clean, well presented and the staff were really friendly and accomodating. The brunch I had was amazing and I will go back again.

Fantastic experience - Accommodated our group with ease and the food and drinks were excellent! BUT by far the best part were the desserts - highly recommend the plum or passion fruit tarts - best thing I've had in years!
