We only had dinner there as we were passing through. The staff was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. My chicken melt dish consisting of chicken, bacon, cream cheese and some other tasty cheese sprinkled on top and baked on a thick, tasty chunk of bread was out of this world and the salad it was served with was crispy, fresh and delish. My companion enjoyed her crumbed beef schnitzel served with salad and chips. For desserts we chose an ice cream sundae and a yummy cheesecake. From brochures the accomodation looks elegant and its position near the beach and centre of town gives this hotel added appeal.

Had a very nice lunch after a lovely drive around the mountain. A very quiet Tuesday in the restaurent at Headlands Hotel but the staff were most welcoming and we all had a great time. Good food, good service and good company-what more could you want!!!

Hubby and I stayed here for a few nights during the summer for a friends wedding nearby. We enjoyed our time and was such beautiful modern room! Love it!

I arrived in Opunake looking for accommodation last Saturday 4th Feb 17. The restaurant had a closed sign on the door and the accommodation reception was also locked with a note saying to call a service number. On doing so I got an answer message to say that "Mark" from Restaurant Brands was not available but to leave a message with a contact number and the call would be returned. This is now Wednesday 8th Feb and I still have not had my call replied to!!! Needless to say I went and got accommodation elsewhere in Opunake..not good!
