Good hotel but the only thing was that it feels and looks a bit older. For the price it isn't too bad.

The hotel was great - we had a really pleasant suite with nice views over Dunedin. The staff were friendly and gave some of the best customer service I have had from hotels for a long time.

Like a home away from home and so central to everything Dunedin has to offer in terms of shopping, bars and cafes, uncomplicated access to the Southern motorway (for the the airport and roads heading south) & easy access to the bay road heading to the Albatross colony. The team at the Scenic are relaxed, friendly and personable and nothing is a problem, which to me gives them a 10/10.

Loved the spacious room, the view and the fact that it was no problem to have the restaurant menu delivered to our room. Staff were excellent and nothing was a problem. Intend to re-book in December.

Large room, some update to room but could still be improved. Rooms by elevator or noise from mechanical and guest talking. Do not take room x01.

The room had a shower over the bath - I slipped, 10 days later I still have a large bruise. didn't receive an apology just "most of our guest like the bath over the shower" I had no idea the room would have a shower bath certainly didn't say it would or give me the option of just a shower. Had to fill the electric jug with a jug that fitted under the tap in the bathroom. The bathroom was dated. The room was clean and the staff were delightful. It wasn't cheap I expected better.

Located in the city center, the room is spacious with a good view from its windows. Clean and neat. The staffs are also very helpfull and friendly. They give us a lot of information about the penguins :)

Massive rooms and all the modern amenities you would expect from a hotel of this calibre.
Only reason I give two stars is due to the softness of the bed. Although I have to admit you'll likely find all hotels are like this.response / report this review -

Great stay. Perfect location. Stunning room with a view over the city. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back!
