A good place to stay if you're intending to stay short term. The rooms are good and dry just that it's a bit small and tight, not ideal for people who are claustrophobic. It's got like a backpackers vibe to it. But definitely wouldn't book to stay long term unless you're short on cash
dirty, sticky walls. we stayed for 3 nights and they don't clean our rooms. it's not good especially if you have kid/s. the lights is too dark and doesn't have good ambiance.
Had anxiety attack after booking & then reading reviews. BUT we found it to be not as bad as what others had said. Would recommend to others & would also stay again.
Amazing staff, breakfast included(toast +spreads, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice). Def worth it if your on a budget.
We had heaps of hot water, noice was fine after 10pm as didn't hear anything & we were there over weekend as well as during week.
Lovely view each morning.
My only issue was the bed I slept in I could feel the springs but for me that was heightened more due to the fact that that I had an injury before arriving so was kinda sore.
Otherwise awesome stay thank you all so much
Nice place. Would stay again. Only downside is walk up hill but it's only a 10min walk from town/bus to snow. Also hot water pressure is rubbish in the mornings. Otherwise a solid backpacker accommodation. Clean and warm rooms with fridge. Free wifi in bar section only.
READ THIS REVIEW! Reavers Lodge is a decent cheap option for staying in Queenstown. Beds were comfy, staff was nice, and there is a badass bar downstairs. With that being said, DO NOT book here if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep or bringing your family. The walkways and walls at Reavers are paper thin and you will hear drunk people being drunk until 5am. I'm not joking, I got randomly woken up every night by drunk people. Would've given it 5 stars for the price, but the amount of noise in this place is nuts! Overall I had a great time here, but would not recommend for those not wanting to party a bit. Pretty much anything goes.
BEST PLACE
awesome new bar, with probably the best view of Queenstown! Great cheap food and drinks! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
comfortable rooms and staff are lovely and helpful!
Overall it was affordable and clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful during our stay. She helped set us up with a few activities in the area to enjoy.
We booked with a ski package deal from oz snow adventure. The room was tiny and we had a thick huge spider web in the room which showed that nobody cleaned it prior to our arrival. The water pressure and temperature are awful as the quality of the bed. Also the wall are so thin that you can hear all the room around you. After travelling a lot in backpacker hostels this one is maybe the worse we got.
So avoid this place!!

Great backpackers accommodation just next to Queenstown. Rooms are small and basic, but clean and tidy. Super friendly staff, great bar on site, awesome social events and friendly crowd. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to both party and ski/board in NZ.
A good place to stay if you're intending to stay short term. The rooms are good and dry just that it's a bit small and tight, nor ideal for people who are claustrophobic. It's got like a backpackers vibe to it. But definitely wouldn't book to stay long term unless you're short on cash
Good location with great view Little crampy room for four and not so great breakfastbut still worth it
For me a hotel is just a place to get some sleep so you can be well rested and explore. I always go basic and am always happy.
That said, with walls this thin I can't actually sleep because people are walking in the room above and it is making a lot of noise. It's the kind of room where you can hear water from someone else's shower and hear everything happening around. If you are a fairly light sleeper I wouldn't recommend this hotel as a place of rest, rather pay an extra few $$.
Nice clean place to stay, cool new bar up top with a great view over Queenstown that was a a good place to stop for a drink.
We were going to have a Fire Station weekend away here and booked accommodation ($600). Then the Christchurch Port hill fires kicked off and we informed them 2 weeks before our booking that we could no longer make it (due to half the Canterbury region being in a state of emergency) as we had to deal with the fire on the port hills. They replied and pretty much said too bad, you aren't getting your money back. Pretty disgusting considering we were and still are out there saving property and houses while trying to prevent the Christchurch fires from getting any worse.
Location isn't the most convenient and it's about 15 mins walk from the centre of Queenstown. It's on top of a hill and could be a bit difficult to walk up and down if you are the type of people that move between accommodation and other places regularly. Rooms are clean and tidy, while size is relatively small however given the low price it's understandable and isn't a big problem. Just that the beds don't seem to be very rigid. Services are good and I didn't encounter any particular issues during the stay.
