Suburb views, walking distance to Queenstown, well equipped and friendly staff. Very good place.

It was a very nice place with good scenery and location. We were initially very pleased with the accommodation, however on the second day of our stay, we were surprised by one of the staff or management who came down to our room and made a big fuss about us sending the repairman away when we were not even informed at all that the hotel has called for a repairman to come in and fix the fireplace. She has shouted and initially demanded that we paid for the call out fee for the repairman to come in again. Firstly, why werent we informed that the repairman would come in and why wasn't the repairman accompanied by one of the hotel staff if the hotel were not able to contact us initially? Secondly, it is our right as hotel guests to reject a stranger coming into our accommodation as we were never informed in the first place. We were very very disappointed that such a reputable accommodation has such bad management and staff with bad manners.

Villa del Lago is an amazing location, close to town, modern - beautifully styled rooms and very good service!!

The View from the room is great, directly to the lake. Walking to the town center is around 25 minutes, but remember you have uphill and downhill, so if you get tired soon better to drive.
The rooms were excellent, specially if you traveling with family.
However a disadvantage for a 3 bedroom was they had a small balcony from the upper level looking down at the living room and can be dangerous for kids if they are left alone.
The Parking at the hotel is a bit challenging if you are coming in a big van.

Very good place to stay. The room is fully equipped with everything u need (e.g stove , oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer) the view is great, facing lake wakatipu. There r two rows of rooms.
The location is just nice. Not too far from the supermarkets if u need to stock up.
Some ppl might issue driving and parking at the narrow and steep road leading to the hotel. Just drive slowly and u will be fine.response / report this review -

Beautifully kept grounds, lovely scenery of the lake, extremely clean, high quality/class furniture and fittings, loved the curved TV. Excellent location.

Agree with most folks. Great accommodations. Very clean and comfortable. Not super luxury. But very comfortable and pleasant. Close to town. Lovely views. Easy access to water taxi into queenstown. Plenty of parking. Helpful staff. Internet is a bit patchy - quite slow at times
