First time to the South Island and what a beautiful first impression you get coming into Picton.

Best affordable accommodation I have ever stayed at. Prices are reasonable. Facilities kept very clean and tidy. TV and heating in each cabin. Lovely place!

Clean and tidy. Handy to township and Picton ferries. More suitable for motor caravans

One of the best campsites on our 3 week road trip. Clean, friendly and cheap.

Great stopver for ferry, facilties very high standard, pity we can no longer stay due to change of polcy re pets. Apparently a thoughtless dog owner stuffed it up for others!

we booked into this place because it was 'dog friendly'. we booked 2 cabins for the night and put in the comments that I had the dogs and they would sleep in the ute. heard nothing from them so assumed all good. arrived to be told that the ute will need to be parked at the other end of the park instead of outside cabin in case they bark. I get that they want quiet and that's fine I agree but if my dogs are miles away from me I have no way of stopping them if they do (which is rare). after some talking with them thru agreed that we could park them closer so that's good. got them out to toilet them in the grass and he runs over with a list of rules for us which said they weren't allowed to be walked or toilet ed on the grounds we have to take them elsewhere. in my opinion this is not dog friendly at all and I will never recommend it to anyone.
