Nice and convenient, been here for two days with my van. Allot of space, nice kitchen and bathrooms.
kind reception.
Super nice place for campervans and back packers. All facilities are provided with nice and tidy living areas.
We've been here a week so far for work and I couldn't be happier with it. We have showers, our own room, a great kitchen and hammocks and laundry. Not sure why there are bad reviews. We have had nothing but kind people and generous hospitality!
This place isn't a hostel it's more of a campground with some hostel facilities and hostel beds. You need to bring all your own cutlery and pans etc. They have a nice library and a great little pool.
We stayed for a week and it was nice however if you are coming here to find work it is very hard at the moment (Feb 2017) The help to find work is just giving you a list of numbers to try. A few didn't work and most didn't pick up.
This is an alright place for what it is and good value for money if you stay a week. However if you are coming here under the impression that they will help you find work then this is not the case. Facilities are ok but need updating. Could be a great place.
Stayed there for 6 weeks while working on a vineyard. The facilities are good but during high season you have to wait sometimes because there are not enough for 130+ people. Wi-Fi was upgraded right before we left. Kitchens are also fine but sometimes very crowded. But the owners try hard to create a social atmosphere and it works very well. If you have any questions you can always talk to them.
We arrived late in the evening (as most backpackers do) and we assumed we could get a campsite regardless because most places allow you to just pull up when you arrive and work it out in the morning- especially since the place has the name "backpacker". Well not only was the woman EXTREMELY rude to me for arriving past the given time (shutting the door in my face), we didn't even get a spot. This is NOT backpacker and traveler friendly. We ended up having to freedom camp when there were clearly spots available.
I don't know how the hostel looked a few months ago, but me and a friend of mine were here for the weekend and it's the best working hostel as far as we can evaluate that. The rooms are very clean, everyone got it's own toaster and fridge in the room and there is enough space for all your belongings. The showers are good, the people are friendly and in the summer you can go for a swim in a clear pool. We came here at the end of the summer season, so there's not much work in the vineyards or anywhere else, but if you come in the winter season, there's far enough work I think. The only thing which is a bit negative is that the WiFi doesn't work at all times, but they will fix it in the near future they said. Just go for it, it's gonna be a cool experience.
After spending 6 month in that Hostel, I can tell you it's not a place to go in Winter, but you wanna be there in summer! They are making a lot of Partys and are trying to upgrade the facilities. You will also find a lot more work in summer.
