This trip left me in tears. We do not recommend. We travel around NZ for work the majority of the time and I have never felt so disappointed in regards to accomodation before. The location was beautiful but that is the only positive I can come up with. The staff were all so rude, never did they greet us kindly, respond if you said hello in passing or even smile back at you. The cleaners were so loud next door to us at 9:30 in the morning, and the walls and floors shook with the force of doors slamming and stomping about the place.
On their website they call themselves pet friendly and when we arrived we told them about our young dog, and they said she was fine, to keep her on her lead, clean up after her, and not to let her into the units, all things that any responsible pet owner does anyway so we were very happy with that. That evening we got a call saying she had to be in the car the entirity of the trip and that the lady at reception was wrong, I find this inconsistency very disapointing when it explicitly lists on there website that dogs are allowed on site just not in units, I also find it very disappointing that there was no apology about the misinformation and that we were treated as criminals for having our dog tied up outside on the grass with us.
There were utensils, plates, pots and pans in our room, however there wasn't any type of running water or cooking facilities, this almost felt like a taunt.
Furthermore, the beds were so hard that I struggled to sleep, and the smell of the mattress was positively dreadful. The feral cats were also a bit of a put off crying all night long.
I have never in the history of our travels complained about a facility or left a bad review but I felt compelled to be heard on this occasion as it left me feeling so dreadful and I could not wait to leave.
The friendliest staff, most accommodating and welcoming, everything on your doorstep, amazing rooms, a wonderful children's playground. I only got to stay one night but I can't wait to be back!

Definite 5/5. Most amazing and clean bathrooms and laundry. Ideal spot on the. Each front. We had dogs with us so we were initially placed in a spot with no "life" or view however once we spot to the manager we were moved to an amazing spot. We even got a friend departure text to wish us a safe journey home.
Absolutely incredible! Arrived late and walked into the most beautiful 2 bedroom villa with fantastic heating and everything we need! We are so excited to start the day tomorrow, the kids play area is right next to our room and there's a shopping centre right down the street with everything else we might need. The beach is mere meters away too!!! My boys are excited to hire the cool bikes and build sand castles. I'm totally blown away. 😁😁😁😁
Always good. Lovely well run camp with reasonable winter rates. Will visit again.
Good facilities, friendly staff, close to shops and reasonably priced for how close to the beach it is.
We feel completely ripped off. PARENTS WITH TODDLERS BEWARE! Our 2 year old son walked into our cabin and and immediately ran to push the 'open' button on the microwave. The microwave was positioned at knee level below the sink! To our horror, in under a second our son had opened the door and dragged out the glass microwave plate which shattered as soon as it touched the tiles below. We let them know immediately at the front desk. They ended up charging us $80 for a glass plate that can be sourced for under $20. The microwave was set up in a position which can easily cause serious injuries to young children. Donella was extremely unpleasant to deal with during email communication. Her poor customer service has tainted any fond memories that we may have taken from our visit there.
