A very clean and quiet spot, and a short walk to the town center. I really enjoyed my stay here. Only downside is the Wifi is not unlimited. We had 1gb for the room, then you have to start paying.
Good basic lodging. Clean. Restaurant nearby is great!
I was hesitant to book here because of the "motel" label, but perhaps motels in New Zealand aren't like those in the US. Our chalet was cute, clean and had everything we needed for our two night stay. We used it as a stop for visiting Mount Cook, which was perfect. Service was great too; we let them know ahead of time that we would arrive late, so they emailed us our room number and left a key since the office was closed. The wifi is limited to a gig, which we didn't realize, but that's not really a big deal since we didn't come all this way for wifi.
Very comfy chalet with lots of room and all facilities available. Free WiFi and nice staff. Great place to stay and value excellent.
A motel so easy to find & with a view of the mountains + friendly, helpful, diligent staff. The beds extremely comfortable, rooms clean, warm & cosy with everything you need for a fabulous stay in lovely Twizel. You couldn't find a more hospitable, caring & obliging couple managing the Mountain Chalet Motels
Great value offer. We got a 5 person Chalet, and unlike in common Hotels or motels where you are squeezed in a tiny place it is pretty spacious here. If you are 4 ppl traveling this is a really reasonable offer. Also on a good day there is an close drive to Mt Cook and other great look out's.
The accommodation was reasonable without being anything special. There were no lounge chairs which makes it less comfortable than it ought. There was a small table and it was a bit tight overall. It had a separate kitchen.
My review ratings try to be consistent and very rarely allocate a 5. Any that I give a 3 rating is good and am happy to stay there again.
Very cosy! Looks small but it's big inside! Suitable for 5 persons! And the kitchen is fully equipped!
The individual huts were nice and quite. I was later told that the huts that I stayed in had not yet been upgraded like the others.
I like this place, very convenient for purchase what you need in living, and only take 30 minutes driving to Mt. Cook, 10 Minutes to Pukaki. Also like the style of wooden housing, there are trees in front of the front gate, and the blossom fell while wind blew.. beautiful
Loved the way chalets has been maintained and facilities.. Awesome
