A mixed bag of points.
When we arrived at Glentanner we were greeted by lovely people (Thanks Lana and Mikaela) who were well knowledgeable about the Mount Cook region and gave us excellent advice.

The campsite however left us wanting. The powered sites for campers were fine but the remaining facilities whilst functional were cheaply renovated and average to use. The campground was still undergoing significant renovations and felt half built.

The biggest downside here was completely inadequate hot water for showers. Several people (me included) were left standing in ice cold water when the hot ceased to run at all.
All in all we felt that this campground for two people should have cost closer $30 instead of $50 per night.

Still a good place to stop but not worth the money, not until renovations are complete.

The perfect place to take a helicopter flight around Aoraki Mt Cook and land on the snow weather permitting. A picturesque area that every traveler needs to see, Aoraki Mt Cook 3724 meters high, New Zealands highest mountain. On your return enjoy the food and drinks avalibile in the cafe, then browse in the gift shop for that special momento to take home.

Wide open space for campers. Kitchen quite well equipped, clean toilet and hot shower. This is a nice basecamp for Mount Cook walks. Scenery all around are excellent. $22 per person for non-powered site felt slightly on the higher side though

Not a well maintained holiday park. 1970s Main amenities building. No water and dump point for caravan but charged the same price as well maintained holiday park.

Spacious campsites. Great views of Lake Pukaki and the Cook range. Friendly staff. Get some bug spray.

Wasn't too busy in January. Very tucked away so close to the road. Unpowered sites have better views than powered sites but the powered sites are very private and quiet. Facilities were ok.

Stunningly beautiful location with excellent views of the mountains and Lake Pukaki. Nice spots for camping partly surrounded by trees which give a private feel. Good kitchen and toilet facilities, clean and comfortable.

Very nicee! We have stuck in snow storm, no electricity, no food but we got alots of new experience with very great staffs. Good view for relax. I'll be back!
