The first room we got had dirty sheets and pillow cases. There were even dead bugs in the sheets. We got moved into a second room which had a mattress that was falling apart and had springs popping out, ruining my night's sleep. Also the main door lock had been changed so we had to call to be let in after hours. The entire place is dirty and smells mildly of mildew and mould. The only up side is that the staff was very apologetic and helpful but it's not enough to bring us back

We did not stay here, but the staff were very friendly when we asked if we could store our luggage.
However the manager was not very friendly. He kept insisting that needing to store luggage was not a 'normal' thing to do and implied we were being cheap, even though we offered to pay for a night's stay! Turning us away is fine, but there is no need to patronise us like that.
We just went to Base Backpackers across the road, who were much more accommodating and allowed us to store our luggage and use their showers for a small fee.response / report this review -

Cheap hostel with basic facilities, shared shower in the mens bathroom was strange. Bring your earplugs if you want some decent sleep.

Is now renamed to BOB HOSTEL. Clean and comfortable hostel. Except staying on Saturday night, most probably can't sleep well. Due to live bar downstairs.

We got upgraded (their words) to a better room due to the wing our booked room was in being situated over a pub with booming bass thumping against the walls guaranteed to keep you up all night. There was no discount on the "upgrade" and while there was one amazing, friendly staff member the others were very serious. The kitchen area closed at 10pm and the deck at 11pm but the room was warm and clean, bedding and towels were provided and we slept well.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Unfortunately we didn't get to stay here due to a change in family circumstances, but when we called to cancel on the day we were booked to stay they very kindly offered to waive the fee. We will be booking to stay here next time. Thanks

지금은 오후 11:30분이구요, 10시부터 음악소리때문에 잠을 못 자겠어요.
저는 원래 머리만 눕히면 3초만에 잠드는 사람인데 이건 쫌 심합니다. 그냥 음악만 들리는 것이 아니라 공기가 울려요. 진짜 괴로운 수준입니다..
가격이 저렴한 이유가 이거였나보네요..
It is 11:30 pm now, and I can not sleep at all because of the big music sound that started at 10 o'clock.
I am not a very sensitive personality. I am a person who sleeps for 3 seconds when I lay down my head. It is very bad .. I do not just listen to music but I have to say that the air is ringing like a club. It is. It was for this reason that the price was cheap.response / report this review -

Great location but very Grotty inside, outside looks good but ones you walk in the building, you want to walk back out, we booked a month ahead & asked for a 3 single bed room, Theo (owner) showed us a room which other guess can walk through your room to their room with no door between us & them, no thank you, then he showed us a double bed & had to get a single fold up bed. Hate it, thank god it was only for the night, the band noise down stairs unbearable. I won't recommend my family to stay there. Oh I also lost the key to the room, maybe I couldn't wait to get out of there

Great location, awesome terrace on top and in general quite nice people. Only the facilities in the dorms are extremely minimalistic and there isn't really that much space. Nevertheless, fair prices (24$/night 6-bed dorm).
