Great, quick stop. Decent waterfall, lovely rocky riverbed. Fairly accessible. Only issue was really the small, biting bugs. If I had to pick one, I’d pick Thunder Creek Falls up the road
over this, but both can be quick stops.
15 minute quick stop, worth it
Such beautiful falls and you can walk across the river bee, obviously when it is not on full flood!! The stones on river floor are beautiful.
Nice little waterfall, only a 2min walk, but not as impressive as other waterfalls you may see around the country. If you are short on time skip it and stop at Thunder Creek Falls instead. Otherwise worth stopping to stretch your legs.
Very nice place to relax and the waterfall was quite impressive, I like how it's quite close and you can get a good view of it. We skipped rocks for quite a while which was fun. There were less sandflies here than The Blue Pools which is a small plus!
Beautiful and there was snow on the ground there so lovely photos with jungle, falls, and snow.
This is a beautiful place, which reminds a sanctuary or something like that because of the piles of rocks you can find there.
Best excuse for a stop to stretch the legs. The waterfall is nice, but we enjoyed the numerous flat rock towers that were on the shore and the crystal clear water of the river. Watch out for sandflies.
Amazing little spot. Easy climb up the falls for the adventures people
It is a nice stopover on the way from Fox Glacier to Wanaka. It is not a boring parking bay where people can walk around to avoiding of getting stiff, you can just walk quickly to really nice waterfalls within 2 minutes next to the road which makes it a nice break in between
An unexpected but lovely sight! Stretch your legs after hours of driving and enjoy the soothing sound of the waters.
