No Wi-Fi. Must be nice being the only option for hours. They seem to be using that fact as their selling point, because the food was typical and mediocre. For the price, buy yourself a bottle of wine and have a picnic anywhere along the road.

Stopped in to Haast around lunch time and stumbled across The Hard Antler. Their blue cod fish & chips was really solid. Fried to perfection and the fish was fresh. Would recommend stopping by if you are passing through the area and looking to grab a bite!

Amazing blue cod fish and chips. Super well battered and crispy, and the meat inside was tender and flaky. The servers are very friendly as well and you can play darts and pool in here.
This place is also right across a helicopter touring agency and there is a summer special price for 99NZD/person for a 15-20 minute west coast flight to see seal colonies!response / report this review -

Food was ok, to be fair it was around about 3 pm on a week day.
Service was good.
Flys were enjoyable
Wasn’t unreasonably priced.
Every thing else in town was closed. But if you are looking around , save the time and go here first.response / report this review -

Food was delicious - we had the seafood basket which had muscle, scallops, prawn, fish and chips. Rated a 4/5 - although I understand it is a hunting town the taxidermy of the deers was quite weird. I feel like it's a bar for the locals to go to more than for tourists.

Came across this gem whilst driving back to queenstown from fox glacier. Ribs were epic. Good serving size and good value. Quirky decor, has darts, pool and kid friendly toys.

This bar and restraunt has delicious food delivered quickly and wonderful friendly staff. I would recommend stopping by for a delicious meal.

Excellent food and service. Friendly staff. Chef does an amazing job seemingly single handed, producing good value tasty food. Can recommend the roast lamb and venison .

Few of the staff r quite expression-less. Probably had a hard day. Anyway, the food is ok. The chicken burger is a bit too hard for my taste. Good environment though.

Been there twice now and LOVE it and the staff full of fun and great service great food i am a kiwi and this is a great way for tourists to find service and food in NZ And had a ride in a Chopper was amazing

Despite the death room feel with all the hanging antlers and mounted deer heads, the music was really good and staff was very friendly. Apple crumble is great!! Highly recommended.
