One of the few places where I can say that the food is definitely worth the price. It was beautiful

Great location but past it’s use-by date. Pretentious staff and expensive, average food.

What I love about this place is that the service is incredible. Waiters and waitress knows their stuff and very attentive.

Great food and beautiful views, amazing service with attentive staff. Most of all for us was the fact that it's baby friendly, especially for a fine dining restaurant.

I took my parents and girlfriend to there on a weekday without booking. It was pretty early in the afternoon but the manager refused to give us any seats that are not close to front entrance. It was empty at that time!!!
Maybe it was not asian-friendly i guess.
Food was good and waiter was really nice though.

Oh my god. We feel ripped off. My mother in law spent her hard earned money on a grab one voucher for an 8 course "degustation" dinner for two. Wow, what a rip off. The courses were tiny and un memorable. Plus they came so fast we were clearly being table turned. I was so unsatisfied that I needed to ask for a dinner roll which was served refrigerator cold. Man, this place is clearly well past it's use by date and now they've resorted to ripping people off! Avoid the grabone deal, at all cost!

Nice view on the harbour, but just a bit disappointed with the food. For entrees we had duck pancakes. Unfortunately they were cold and soggy and overwhelmed with salmon favour. Tuna was cooked well and tasted great. But the accompanying sauce was really terrible. It tasted like store bought sachet. The wine list however was pretty alright. Service was slow and rather lackluster.

Ran out of oysters. Service was appalling. Controlled by petulant, smart-arse and arrogant waiters who think they're more important than the guests. This place is so over-rated and trading on its past reputation. Needs a gigantic kick up the arse and a complete clean out of it's resident wait staff and management. It's like UK restaurants of the 1980's and I suspect it's staffed and managed by many from that era! Avoid.

oysters came out FULL of pieces of oyster shell. Not just a few bits like usually might happen. Girlfriend not impressed when a tiny piece of cardboard box was also in her oyster.

Response from the waiter? Nothing. No apologies. Nothing. Just like it was normal to have packaging end up in the meal.

Price? $11 for a glass of water. Waiter brought out receipt for "wrong table" which included several extra items. Again, no apologies.

And finally, they have a "tip" section on the bill. This is there to scam tourists into tipping. NZ restaurants outside of the tourist areas don't include this in the bill (tipping isn't the norm here). If you wish to tip, good on you. But to put it on the bill and beg for it? I didn't spend $20-30 a plate for you to beg me for a tip.

We tuned up without reservation, while the place was very empty. Got told to go home cold. You've just lost a customer.

Nice ambient inside and if you get lucky with a nice weather sitting outside is very good. The food is not bad but quality to price not excellent. Starter and pasta good but the fish of the day not really. Service is professional and kind.
