Way over rated and over priced for what it is. The waitress wears weird make up, speaks with very strong accent and is not all that friendly. The fish dish is below average. Oyster is OK but not bluff.

Enjoyed the 7 course Degustation Menu last night, Thursday 8pm. Serving size was excellent and I would suggest that one does not eat any nibbles before taking this on. Quality, taste and visual appeal of all courses added to our opinion that this was one of the best Degustation menu we have experienced previously.A welcome extra was an extremely friendly and motivated waitress who managed our table with an art not usually found in Auckland, a very pleasing night and one that we will repeat.

We made the booking last Thursday for Sunday just gone. When we called the restaurant the staff member advised us that there was no specials on in the restaurant, we spoke to another person who she passed us onto and he also did not know about them, we had to explain that they are on your FB page and told him the date it was posted. We made the booking and then emailed and requested to be sent the menu, that was Thursday, on Saturday we didn't receive a menu so asked again via FB. We then cancelled the booking on Sunday morning because of the total lack of organisation, communication and knowledge shown including still not being sent a menu. You then replied to our message on FB and stated we would receive a menu on Monday, the menu was then received Wednesday.

I emailed you on Wednesday stating the above to which you have not been bothered to reply to.

Im very sorry to give such a poor review but I'm extremely po'ed! We just ate at Mikanos, with friends. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. A large group arrived as we did and proceeded to act outrageously. Screaming; shouting; whistling and loud swearing. It was impossible to hear ourselves speak. The manager spoke to them then effectively, gave up. I don't expect to pay a $500 bill to eat inside a soccer hooligan convention. It was an extremely unpleasant dining experience with no investment in return business.

This is a beautifully located restaurant with wonderful scenic views and entertaining helicopter activity. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We had the high tea, it was beautifully presented.

Went to dinner the other night with wife and our 1 yo. Food and service are both average. Feels like just another average cafe style food and nothing wow for a fine dine restaurant. View is nice, but then again there are many Auckland restaurants with waterfront views.

Note, not kid friendly which we probably should have known. They don't even have a high chair. So to be considered if planning to take a baby along.

Great location with some of the best views in Auckland. Very unquie looking good over the heliport, Coast Guard and Police water dock. Floor to ceiling 2 story windows give unobstructed views. Only problem is when the sun is at the right angle, there's no escaping it. Several guests had to ask to be moved during lunch. A small price to pay for awesome views. Oh, and the food was good too! Would go the again.

Had a lovely time at high tea here after going for a helicopter ride. Great views of the harbour and of the helicopters taking off. Tea selections are basic and the food for high tea is nothing special however the service was outstanding. Very pretty and open space.

Quite a nice place, nice view of the harbour. It's located next to the helicopter rescue center so you can see all the helicopter coming and going (not so nice thinking that somebody somewhere had an accident & need fast medical attention).
Food was okay ish. Not amazingly good, if you're posh & fussy, their food might not be for you. Their bar is quite nice. The entrance is to climb up fairly steep stairs. Too bad that toilets are located downstairs!
