  A bit close to main road and traffic noise. 12 min walk to city. Reception very obliging giving us a toaster and dishes

  Cozy and very welcoming, great for a couples escape. Breathtaking views that you can see from your bed first thing in the morning!

  Earnslaw Lodge was fantastic! Beautiful view, great services, comfortable beds and even parking; the only downside was the lack of a power outlet in the bathroom and also no dishwashing liquid to wash plates. Other than that, I will definitely be coming back!

  New owners did not honor the previous owners committed confirmed booked price. There was a change of new management after the confirmed booking.
  Leaves a very bad taste in your system. Not ever coming back there or will recommend it.
  
  Recommendation: AVOID WHEN YOU CAN!

  All round solid place, reasonably priced and with friendly staff. Also, they have the only proper heating I've seen in my two years living in NZ.

  We enjoyed our stay at Earnslaw Lodge. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. You can buy breakfast at a reasonable price and it's very good. The rooms are clean and quiet, though a little outdated. It's a short 10 minute walk to town, but well worth the views and pleasant staff!

  10 minute walk to the centre of town. Neat and spacious. Helpful staff.
