:: Good hotel but Disappointing service ::

I must say that this is very rare for me to give 2 star rating for hotel.

The overall of the hotel is good, the room is clean and spacious. The location is also great ex. sea front, near supermarket, near Te Papa Museum.

However, the reason I give low rating for the hotel is staff and service. I stayed for a night with my clients and forgot a suit in the room. I've been contacting them by several phone calls, emails while I still in New Zealand until I came back to my country (It's been over three weeks already) and they still have not shipped it out of the hotel yet.

I emailed them so many times but never received a reply. I talked to many staff on the phone and given them credit card no. in which they promised to send it out soon. My last attempt was asking my travel agent in New Zealand to contact the hotel but the last message I received from the agent is that the suit is still there at hotel.

I hope the manager of this hotel will take action to improve both staff proficiency and staff who check email.

A well presented hotel on the water front with excellent panoramic views of Wellington Harbour. Staff are very friendly. A walk along the water front in the morning before or just after breakfast is a must.

Location is awesome. Room with a fabulous view. Staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Room is very clean and newly refurbished by the looks. We'll be back for sure😃

Nice hotel, rooms are minimal. We were meant to be in a king but the bed seemed smaller. Also no bath only a shower.

Love the Copthorne. Excellent staff that do anything for you and modern comfortable rooms. Location is perfect for walks on the water front. This is my number one choice for somewhere to stay in Wellington.
