Don't trust them when they say to ignore small scratches already on the cars. I got caught out and it cost me nearly $400NZD. Report every tiny mark on pick-up or they will say it's fine on pick-up and then charge you when you drop it off. They will just take the money straight off your card without notification. Bad service.

Horrible experience car was dirty, radio didnt work, had to call multiple times to get refund off my credit card and they charged me $45 for airport pick up which wasn't mentioned upon pickup and is in their terms.

It is definitely a hit and miss company! - After using Budget several times, I have found them to be very inconsistent. They are money hungry and will stop at nothing to rip you off.

Whilst booking a rental vehicle at the start of the year, I challenged the attendant on the price he quoted me, telling him that I got it considerably cheaper last time I booked. He advised me that I could get the internet only special. - Key word being 'ONLY'. So I stood at the Budget counter and made my booking on my mobile phone so that I could save about 25%.

This was just the start of a horrible experience, including car problems with lack of ownership and support from Budget. - I was so angry with how I had been treated, I wrote a complaint letter and mailed it off, to which I never received a reply.

Will never use this company again.
