Too lazy. It's the only good place in Remuera and they just don't try very hard. Ignored for most of the night - desperate to order food and drinks we observed not one or two but the entire wait staff hanging around chatting with their backs to the customers for lengthy periods.
We had to get up from the table to prise them from their social life.
The menu hasn't changed much since they first took heavy inspiration from Al Brown's Depot (seriously. I sent him a tweet when I first went! And I never do that.). And do they care for customers who don't want to kill animals for food? No, no they don't. Some of us vegetarian types don't want to eat pizza dough also by the way so stop fobbing us off on f*ing vegetarian pizza.response / report this review -

Got to try the oysters they were very nice. Also the eye fillet steak was cooked to liking. Great relaxing place for a nice meal and glad of wine
