nice staff, great view, comfort room
I live here hahaha of course this place is amazing
Perfect place to stay in Mount Cook. Clean, warm, daily serviced rooms. Spacious, fully equipped common area with an amazing view at Mount Cook.
Decent accommodation for a great price, good value for money given the excellent location and friendly service. Not to mention the excellent view of Mount Cook and the big communal area with a great view. Clean and come with big bathroom. Free 5GB WiFi data.
Better than expected, will stay again for our next trip.
Not expensive. Beautiful view. All the essentials of other hotels. Plus common cooking, refrigeration, laundry, and microwave.
If you are in Mt cook Alpine Lodge please ask for their studio rooms with view. we stayed at 7 ad that room had the best view of mt cook, all through the day and night. It was fabolus. The decor was not much and the kitchenette was smaller than expected, but they had a bigger communal are with board games, kictchen , book rack and view, which is fantastic if you like to socialize. The woman at the reception was nice, smiling and helpful, which sorted many things for us. Would love to stay there again.
You can pay three times as much to stay in the Hermitage, or you can stay at the Aoraki, and get the same view of Mount Cook out your window. Rooms are very clean, but they are small. That's OK, if you are going to be hiking and taking advantage of all the park has to offer. There is no food here; you will want to go to the Hermitage to eat. Plan to spend an afternoon at the Hillary museum at the Hermitage. There are only 20 (or so) rooms, as opposed to hundreds in the Hermitage, so you might want to reserve. On the other hand, in 2009 when the economy was down, we were able to walk right in and get a room.
