Very pleasant stay. Helpful and nice staff, clean. The free coffee was a welcome gesture. Elderly people should consider the small and steep stairs. Smallish rooms were to be expected and well appropriate for the price. 5/5

Please note this is not the hotel for you if you have trouble climbing stairs or are allergic to cats. Otherwise it is an enjoyable stay with helpful and friendly concierge. They helped us find tickets and gave us recommendations. Definitely made use of the free breakfast and was able to enjoy some dutch cheeses at five! Nicely located with an easy walk around central amsterdam.

Hotel location and staff are amazing - our best experiences in Amsterdam were because of staff recommendations of places to try for food/coffee, which resulted in finding additional spots to explore.

This is a great little hotel. The location is wonderful for travelers, the trams 1,2, and 5 from the train station run just around the corner in the Leidesplein and the Airport express bus (#97) is a block away. There are plenty of dining options within a 5 minute walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed there in a triple room (a little cozy for three people) and had a great time, I will be back there the next time I am in Amsterdam

The best affordable hotel in Amsterdam. Very satisfied with the cleanliness and service. Would recommend visitors travelling to Amsterdam. Its not far from city center. Easy and transportation to the city centre, central station as well to Schipol airport.

I was stolen at the La Boheme hotel, as I was going to travel several countries to go to Amsterdam, I took money in several currencies, separating only the euro that I would use on the day, when I left everything was apparently normal, with all my jewels in it, Telling the money I realized that someone opened it and stole half the amount so I did not realize it, I talked to the manager Jaqueline who told me that I could not prove it, obviously not!
No camera in the room !!
Dealing with such a serious question with complete disregard and questioning the truthfulness of the facts.
Do not stay at this hotel you can be STOLEN !!!response / report this review -

Great location, very close to alot of attractions. The room was small compared to North American standards, but you need it to store your stuff and sleep who cares about size. Nice breakfast but gets boring if you say there for a week. The staff was very helpful and friendly. (Ze spraken heel goed Engels) They spoke very good English. We stayed on the top floor for privacy but the daily workout of climbing over 50 steps was good for the glutes.

When we first arrived we had not done a lot of research in to the local area of the hotel and initially thought the location was not great. But we quickly realised that infact the hotel is in a perfect location in Amsterdam eith pretty much everything you need very locally. The room was small and there was hardly a table to put things on but the bed was very comfortable so no complaints there. The Dutch style toilets are not the best and end up leaving a bad smell in the bathroom because the extractor fan was very small. Service was hit and miss, some staff very friendly and helpful while others did not feel particularly welcoming. Breakfast is basic, with the only hot food available being over hard boiled eggs which I suspect were microwaved. Cereal, cheese and fruit/yogurt also available. Overall not bad, but I would probably try somewhere else next time.

The staff are very polite and speak remarkable English. The hotel itself is not amazing but for what your paying it is very good and cheerful. I would recommend it for a short city break as you will not spend to much time in the room anyway. Also have a lovely cat named Meme

I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! The next time I'm in Amsterdam, I will stay here. Comfortable rooms (dorm style) nice staff, decent breakfast (not elaborate. Cold cuts, toast, pastries etc ), low cost. Close to public transportation and many Coffeeshops and What more can you ask? Be sure to pay obeisance to the Hotel Cat..
